Austin & I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary! We started with the Escape Game in KC (a MUST if you love puzzles like me 🤓), then the most decadent steak at 801 Chophouse and finished with a nightcap at The Mercury Room.

This was the BEST date he’s ever taken me on. But let me be clear, he could’ve taken me to our usual spot (Q39) and I would’ve been just as happy because let’s be honest, my happiness is wherever Austin is. ❤️

Murder or Self-Defense? I want to know your thoughts on this one.

I published our first episode of Mama Mystery in August of 2020 during the pandemic. I was bored and in search of purpose so I combined my love of writing and my passion for true crime into a podcast. I didn’t know what to expect or how long I would do it for.. but after about a year, I stuck with it despite the challenges that come with podcasting. Growing a show organically is so hard. Doing it without a large following at first makes it even harder. There were months when I seriously doubted if I could make this work. Austin would tell me, “Just be patient, stay consistent, consistency is key.” So, I begrudgingly obliged and kept truckin’ along. 😒

TWO AND A HALF YEARS LATER, in January of this year, we hit 1 million downloads which felt SO HUGE. It IS huge. I was so proud of myself for writing and researching every one of those episodes that got me there. The hard work was starting to pay off. Now, 8 months after we hit 1M… we’ve hit 2 MILLION. 🤯

Success doesn’t come over night. It comes with perseverance, consistency, and a strong work ethic. We are 3️⃣ years in now and this is only the beginning. I’ve met some incredible, fascinating people along the way and I can’t wait to see what else this journey has in store for us.

At times, it may seem like your dream is out of reach. But it’s only out of reach if you quit.

•28 year old, PhD student studying Criminal Justice and Criminology at Washington State University which is only a 9 minute drive from University of Idaho. ⁣
•Earlier this year, he tried finding participants for a research project that sought to understand the emotional and psychological traits behind committing a crime. 😳 ⁣
•He was arrested at 3am Dec 30th by a SWAT team in the Pocono Mountains near Scranton, PA⁣
•A press conference is scheduled for Dec 30 at 4pm EST.

Bryan Kohberger was arrested at about 3 o’clock this morning near Scranton, Pennsylvania. He will be extradited to Idaho to face charges in the murders of the four University of Idaho students.

‼️BREAKING‼️ An arrest has finally been made in Pennsylvania in the case of the four Idaho students who were murdered November 13. According to multiple news outlets, a 25 year old man was arrested at about 3 o’clock in the morning on Friday, December 30. A press conference will be held later today with more information. So far, we know that the 25 year old is a college student, but not from the University of Idaho. Come back for updates as they come.

He frequently plans date nights, down to the babysitter. He writes me letters. He brings me coffee in the morning. Update on Athena Strand. Athena Strand went missing on Wednesday November 30th around 6pm. She was at home with her stepmother, they got into an argument and Athena walked out of the house. Stepmother continued to make dinner, then looked for Athena but couldn’t find her so she called 911 at around 6pm that night. The search was extensive, k-9s picked up on her scent but lost the scent within the perimeter of the home. Then, Friday, December 2nd, Athena’s body was found and Tanner Lynn Horner, 31, has confessed to kidnapping Athena from her house as he was delivering a FedEx package. He was a contracted driver for FedEx. He has been charged with capital murder and aggravated kidnapping. He is being held on a $1.5 million bond.

Gimme a second while I wrap my head around this… 🤯🙏🏼❤️

If you choose to watch this documentary, ask yourself why these questions were never asked of Casey Anthony:

1. If George was responsible for Caylee’s sudden death, why did Casey make up “Zanny the Nanny” a year and a half before her death?
2. Why did Casey go to such extreme lengths to lie about working at Universal after she was fired? She created fake employees and fake email addresses for those employees, emailing herself to make it look like she was communicating about work, even receiving fake accolades from her “supervisors”. Why not just get a new job? She claims she bartended to save cash on the side but that leads me to question #3…
3. Why would she steal from those closest to her if she claims she had a secret job working as a bartender? Casey stole from her best friend Amy - $400 in cash, and then checks of Amy’s that she used to buy clothes for herself, beer, medicine, and other nonessentials while Caylee was missing. She also stole from her grandparents to pay her cell phone bill, multiple times before Caylee went missing.
4. Why didn’t the documentary allow the prosecution (Jeff Ashton or Linda Burdick) or Nancy Grace to participate without restrictions? Ask yourself why the only interviewees were either from the DEFENSE team or a clout chasing roommate who has eagerly participated in every single documentary about this case to stay relevant? 🤔
5. In the documentary, she watched her daughters funeral for the first time since she was in jail when the funeral happened. Why would you wait 14 years to watch your daughter’s funeral if you had nothing to do with her death?
6. And lastly, but most importantly, if you saw your daughter’s lifeless body being held by your dad, why didn’t you stay on your dad’s ass like white on rice EVERY SINGLE DAY after to make sure your daughter was okay?!!!!! That will never, EVER make sense to me. Ever.

The only abuser in this family is Casey Anthony herself. She waited 14 years to spew this BS so people would be unfamiliar with her case. She’s preying on a new generation of young people, people who are empaths, and most disturbingly, she’s preying on victims of sexual abuse to abuse the metoo movement. A jury acquitted on technicalities, NOT because they thought she was innocent. Casey calls herself a victim in this series. Please remember the ONE true victim in this case: Caylee Marie Anthony. ❤️

In the early morning hours of Sunday, November 13th, four university of Idaho students were murdered inside a house near campus.  Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, X**a Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin were all found murdered inside the home.  Here is what we know so far.
