this page is meant for bench racing with your buddies showing off your cars or projects in the making but most of all respecting our local heroes
Been a few years since I actually said something I get a few likes some shares I appreciate that most of us on here though have some family history or we're doing something ourself building a car building a family I want to build this page it's been a long time we can do better there is so much history in the Tri-Cities area with drag racing I just want to know your story and I'm sure a lot of other people want to know too

As a kid I only want to Shangri-La for the drags a few times it was a sketchy track but damn there were some fast cars first time I went I was watching my dad run his 1980 Buick Regal not a fast car by any means but did pretty good in the street class I got older got my license and had an 81 Camaro with a beat 6 cylinder and no Muffler I thought it was the best thing ever I paid into my class and I got beat I got to sit in Pit Row and watch some awesome cars some of the cars I remember was a Firebird call Debbie's headache that thing was so fast it went off a track smack the tires it was sad to see one of the most competitive cars was driven by Amos Gates I believe his name was it was a Dodge pickup truck and that thing was quick and the one car I can't forget was a big block Sunbeam convertible tubbed that thing was gnarly and the guy driving it drunk as a skunk LOL but he can hold his own
I have listened to my dad for years talk about how he pulled up next to Don Garlits at Tri-Cities Dragway I myself have seen some great people. I myself met Bob chipper a fantastic man and excellent engine builder I walked into his shop and in his office I seen atleast 2 Wally's I felt like I was in the presence of greatness he passed it off like it was nothing even seen a cigar butted out on one........ I want this page to be about past and present drag racing I want to hear your stories about that almost win
