Tonight was a steak and potato night! My favorite. I pan seared the steak in cast iron with Olive Oil, Butter and Garlic... basting it every couple minutes! Sooo good!
These White Chocolate Dipped Ginger Cookies were what I did all day... there is a reason I don't bake. I don't really enjoy it. Lol Although, I must say... these are soooo yummy!

Okay... I have been MIA for a LOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG time. Social media is just too much some times... and life gets away with me.
That being said, I have decided to revamp this page a bit. It will still remain the same name, but with all sorts of post regarding family life, recipes (the good-for-you and the bad-for -you) and fitness. I will say. I am not staying fit at all right now because I am 7 months pregnant! At 40! Let me tell you... it's a lot different than being pregnant when you are younger after two years of working from my couch. I am one tuckered out individual! 😂
I plan of trying out a Tik Tok page for recipes and things as well...

Heeeelllooooo! It's been a while! I've been struggling. Since summer and being home all this time with that C word lurking around every corner... I have just let all healthy eating and fitness go. Luckily, I have only gained about 10 pounds... but still... I have needed to get back into this for a while now. For the past week, I have been making healthier choices with my food and have been getting outside and walking. I have also incorporated some yoga to get some flexibility back in my life! Lol
This was lunch yesterday... (it's lunch today as well). It looks sooo good and all I did was put some spices on both the chicken and sautéed veggies! So good!!!!
Here in upstate NY it is beautiful! ... and humid... What better to have for dinner, than a salad?!? ... and that dressing that you see is Clean!!! 😁😁😁

We all compare... when at the beach and the I-should-be-a-model girl goes by in a fantastic suit... or... on Facebook when someone’s life is so seamlessly perfect...is staring you in the face...(and trust me... ITS NOT PERFECT!)
It’s the same in the fitness world. You see someone eating healthy, doing the work and make it look so easy.... and then you see the people that struggle...doing the same thing and don’t lose a pound... it’s all about you... not them! You are working on your journey. No one else’s... so stop comparing and get to work on yourself because you are amazing and can do this!!!

I’ll admit, since getting a seasonal campsite, I have been slacking a bit... no excuses, just a little regret.
That all stops with today! I am going to get back on track... take more fast paced walks when here... find some great workouts with my On Demand membership for the camper.... and make sure that I am prepping my meals for the weekends here!! (All though, the eating hasn’t been too bad.)

Hey there!! It’s Friday!!! I bet you are all happy! It’s not a typical Friday for me. I have been home sick for two days and with Monday being a holiday... well... it’s more like a Tuesday for me. With a lot of catch up to do.
Needless to say, I have been off track the past week. Even Tuesday, I didn’t feel well... but I went to work. No workouts, nutrition not on track... Yada yada yada...
I am going to get it back on track this weekend! I have some clean stuff planned for foods and am going to make sure I get my superfoods shake in everyday while at my camp. As for working out, I am going to make my walks at camp a priority and try out working out in the camper I may need to modify the jumping and things...

Want to know how to lose body fat and maintain, or even add, muscle. Here a few ways you can do this:
1: Support optimal gut and microbiome function by limiting processed foods and sugar. The superfood shake that I use actually has pre and probiotics to ensure that your digestive system is doing its job to the best of its ability! And... maybe a little TMI... bit I’m more “regular” than I have EVER been!
2: Eat whole, real foods and represent the nutrients daily, without cutting your intake drastically. One way to do this is by portion control. The program that I do makes it so easy to get in all my nutrients and foods that I should have on a daily basis. I’m sure you have seen those colored containers that I use... they are assigned all sorts of delicious whole clean foods!! And to be honest.... it’s sometimes hard to get all the containers in that I am allowed :))
3: Do not eat too little protein. It's essential for muscle growth and is a very satiating nutrient (makes you feel full).
4: Focus on 2 primary types of exercise:
RESISTANCE TRAINING: Increases human growth hormone (HGH) and testosterone which we need to build lean muscle (you are not going to get bulky, we need these for strong, healthy bodies).
HIIT TRAINING (high intensity interval training) - for stimulating fat loss

5: Prioritize REST and especially SLEEP: the amount of sleep you get impacts whether you lose muscle as you lose fat, because of your hormone levels. High levels of cortisol can inhibit fat loss and promote muscle breakdwon. Yikes! HGH peaks DURING SLEEP. This has been my downfall. I have always been a night owl... and now I pay for it. I need to get my sleep patterns in check!

It’s enough and then some! There are days when I feel like I shouldn’t eat another bite... but I know that I need to keep my metabolism going so I push through. (I never over eat though)
With the clean Whole Foods that I put in these containers, I feel amazing! I have more energy, my skin and hair are so much better and my waist is shrinking!!! 😄😄👏🏻👏🏻😄😄

Happy Saturday everyone!!! It’s been a nice relaxing morning, but I need to kick myself into gear and get moving! Started my day off with this fantastic breakfast! During the week, I usually start my day with my superfoods shake... on the weekends, I like to have a sit down breakfast with my family...so it’s a nice treat! (All though, all of this is clean and approved with the program that I do!)
Eating healthy doesn’t have to be hard or expensive! There are ways to cut costs...
🍆🥒🌽🥦🥕Frozen veggies are one way! They are relatively cheap and the freezing process helps keep their nutrients! (Canned veggies can have a ton of sodium and lose some of their nutrients during the canning process)
🍎🍇🍓🍊🍋 The Super Food Shake that I do... It is PACKED FULL of nutrients, pro and prebiotics, superfoods and is super yummy... all for under about $4 a day! 😳 You can’t stop for breakfast at a convenience store for under that! And I promise you... the food that you are getting there is a chemical s**t storm!!!
🍒🍋🍇🍉🍑🥦 Buying produce that is in season is a cheaper option too!
YES.... buying Whole Foods can get expensive, but if you do it the smart way... you can come out ON TOP! ... and... the money that you spend on the “bad” stuff... will equal itself out on the good stuff!
And if you think it’s a diet.... YOU ARE WRONG‼️‼️ This is a lifestyle change. I promise you... you will not go back!

If you know me, you know that I get migraines... a lot... and I am pretty much useless during one.
I have been going hard with nutrition and workouts. I haven’t missed one workout and not a lot of cheating on the food!
I didn’t want to let this migraine get the best of me... so I woke up and worked out! I’ve heard people tell me that it can get rid of the migraine. IT DOES!
So... moral of the story??? Try to get up and do the stuff that seems impossible. The word literately says “I’m possible!”!!!
.. oh... and drink ALL the water!!

Phew! It’s been a busy and exciting weekend but the most taxing part of it all was that Game of Thrones episode! 😱😱😱 So good... but I had so many heart attacks! 🤣
No, really though... My family and I also found a Summer getaway! Our “Home away from Home”!for the next 6 months! When I was a single mom of 2 boys, I never thought that I would ever be able to afford something like this. With my husbands hard work and my hard work, we are making it happen!

Three months ago, I was at my heaviest weight ever!! (Including 3 pregnancies). I felt sluggish, crappy and horrible about myself!! Part of that was just the winter blues... part of it was me not taking care of me! I was eating like crap! Anything I wanted... although, I felt really bad about it. 😫
Fast forward to now!!! That lifestyle has changed! I have three kids and a husband that I need to be here and happy for!! 👦🏻👦🏼👧🏼 ❤️
So.... I started:

🏋🏼♂️Working out in the comfort of my own home (or anywhere really... with On Demand workouts)
💜I leaned in to an Online Accountability group of people working forward the same goals as me!

A Sunday well spent will bring a weeks content!! Meal prepped the sh*t out of this day... while cooking a full Turkey dinner! I kept up on the dishes for most of the day... but the rest will have to wait until tomorrow!
Spring is finally here!!! Here in upstate NY we are having 60-70 degree days for daaaayyyys! It’s so refreshing to feel the warm spring air and smell that spring rain! 🌞💦
I am going to celebrate by getting outside this weekend! Take a walk... bask in the sun... something...🌸🐣🌷

Late workout, but I got it done! 💪🏼 I started a new program. It’s actually been out for a while, but it’s T25. Shaun T is the trainer. You may have seen him on TV. 👀 He’s been working with one of the National morning shows with one of his new programs. He is so motivating!
I have started with using the modifier. One thing I love about all of the programs is that there is always someone that is doing a low impact version of each move! They really have something for everyone from age 5 👧🏼to age 80 👵🏽 No lie! One of the challengers in our group is in her mid 70’s and she kicks butt!!)

Sssssshhhhhh!!! Don’t tell, but I’m eating a late night snack!! Yes... it’s watermelon, but it’s still later than I am supposed to eat. I try not to eat past 8pm... but let’s face it...we don’t get done with dinner until 7:30 some nights.
I needed a little something extra. I just did a Cardio workout that had me all dizzy and s**t! 😱😂.
Now I feel amazing that I got it finished! Going to get a few things done and it’s off to bed for this girl!

Good Morning! It’s Sunday Funday! I woke up kidless this morning so it’s been a nice relaxing morning. Cooked some breakfast for the hubby and went on a nice long walk! Got a 1 1/2 miles down 🙂 Later, I will do a workout from my program that I am doing. The best part!?! I don’t even need to leave my living room!
It feels so good to get outside and breathe in that spring air! It’s there... I know it is!! Upstate NY weather is sooo crazy! One day it’s warm and 60.... the next day it’s snowing! Hopefully there’s no more of that in the forecast.

Hey everyone! I’m still here... I have been forgetting to post on this page ever since I found stories... I have just been using them. I will get better... I promise!
Anyway... today is Sunday and is usually my prep day. THIS GIRL has a four day weekend... so I didn’t prep today! I will get it done over the next two days. Still not sure what I’m doing. I do know that tomorrow, I will be making chicken in wine sauce in the crock pot! I plan on serving it over rice for the family, but I will probably just eat it like it is :))
I am still trying to figure out the other days... and my snacks...
Anyone have any favorite healthy snacks or go to lunches that they can’t live without?
Transformation Tuesday:
Mine is a transformation... but it’s not a good one. Rewind to a few months ago... I realized that I am the biggest that I have EVER been. ( Even with my pregnancies 😩) I was feeling sluggish and so down on myself. I knew that I NEEDED this to change.
For some motivation, I looked back at pics from my first go-round with Beachbody. It worked then. I lost 20 lbs and a bunch of inches! I looked great and was on my way to looking and feeling AMAZING! So what happened?!
Since quitting last August 2018 (lets be real... I quit way before that) I have really packed on those lbs!
Posting this horrible pic gives me the motivation I need to get back on track. The amazing group of women that are doing it will me also give me the love and support that I need. It helps to have people like you along for the journey!
