Fun night for our Christmas Party with the Jr Leaders!

At tonight’s meeting we made centerpiece for the upcoming Recognition night December 3rd 2023.

Set up starts at 5pm with potluck starting at 6pm.

We are so excited to have each and everyone of you in our 4H club.

We voted on the new 4H Club Officers.

Congrats to all of those who received positions this year.

Our goals for the year is to donate $3000, Adopt a Highway, to do one educational activity at each school and to purchase charles mix 4H signs to be placed in each community.

Hearty Helpers will meet tomorrow (12th) at 5pm at the 4H center in Lake Andes. We will be crafting some center pieces for recognition night and planning our Christmas party.

Hearty Helpers will be meeting tomorrow, 10/8 at 5 pm at the 4-H Center. This is our first meeting of the new year - we will be electing officers, setting goals for the upcoming year and will have a bean bag tournament.
New members are welcome! We meet every 2nd Sunday of the month at 5 pm.

Hearty Helpers! We will have a Balloon Volleyball Tournament after our meeting today :)

Hearty Helpers!! Bull riding is this Friday night - We will need grilling and concession stand help again. We realize that many of us will be coming from Achievement Days - we will need help from about 5:30 - close. ALSO - Any 4-H member will get into the bull riding for free - there will be tickets at the office at Achievement Days that you will need at the gate. 4-H is being honored by the Saddle Club so please wear 4-H t-shirts.

My goodness, what a weekend!!!
We had a record-breaking weekend at the concession stand!

We have never had so much AWESOME help in the stand and the kids did an amazing job taking orders, handling money and keeping things stocked up. The guys cooking and ladies in the back keeping the food flowing made for a well-run stand.
Special thanks to Brice Bultje for the extra cooking and hauling grills in and to Jayme Bergin for the flying trip to Sioux Falls for supplies.

Hearty Helpers Families - Rodeo is this weekend - Saturday and Sunday. Please comment below what nights you plan to work - Friday - 5 pm - Load/unload supplies from the grocery store
Saturday - 4 pm - Grilling help (need more dads/older kids for this)
Saturday - 6 pm - Concession stand Opens - Need 5 adults/teenagers to work until close
Sunday - 4 pm - Grilling help

Younger kids can help with condiment station monitoring, cooler stocking, trash but we need parents/teenagers to help in the stand and for grilling.
EVERYONE is welcome to help out - do not need to be a member of our club or 4-H. Hearty Helpers families are expected to help out at least one night.

Hearty Helpers will.meet Sunday - 5 pm at the rodeo grounds in Geddes. We will be cleaning the rodeo grounds and concession stand as well as signing up for work shifts for the rodeo. Great opportunity to get your demonstration done.

Hearty Helpers will meet at 5 pm at the 4h building on Sunday. Our club and the junior leaders have been asked to paint panels at the bull o Rama site in Lake Andes. We will do this project following our meeting. This will be very messy so wear old clothes!

We do have some decisions to make and we will have a "Demonstration" tutorial! Learn this important part of 4H club work! See you there!

What a great afternoon with our club! We spent this meeting on community service making valentines packages for the Platte and Lake Andes nursing home residents! We hope these packages brighten days this week!

Reminder!! Meeting today at 1 pm in Lake Andes at the 4H center! Lots of valentines treats to prepare, hope to see you all there :)

Attention Hearty Helpers! Our February Meeting will be at 1 pm at the 4-H Center in Lake Andes. We will be making Valentines for the Platte and Lake Andes Nursing Homes. I have the cards and craft supplies - looking for volunteers to bring treats to add to the bags - suggested treats are: Large bags of puff corn, Werthers candies, peppermint candies, small chocolates, wafer cookies. We will be making packages for 72 total residents :) Please comment below if you are planning to attend - Would love to have lots of kids to help out!

We had a super fun first meeting of the year! Welcome to our new families! UPDATED HEARTY HELPERS MEETING INFORMATION: We will meet this weekend (Sunday, 5 pm) at the 4-H Center in Lake Andes. This is our first official meeting of the new year! We welcome new members and can't wait to kick off our 4-H Year. We will be electing officers, setting goals for our club and will have a Cornhole/Beanbag tournament. I have one set of boards, we could use at least one more set! We will have super nachos for supper after the meeting.

T-shirt order!! Please send sizes to Darci for your Hearty Helpers members by this Friday so I can get shirts ordered! Adults are welcome to order as well for the normal cost of the shirt. Member shirts are free :) this will be the basic design on a dark Grey tshirt.
