Our latest Kala in the Kitchen episode (linked in comments below) featured a heartfelt conversation about maintaining the sparkle in friendships as guest Kelly Chmielewski and Kala Venugopal Shah mixed up a delicious Oo La La holiday punch. Every episode will feature a great charity cause and this month we are collecting donations for the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. For the price of your next coffee, $5 provides 10 whole meals to a community member in need. Please support this great organization by clicking the link www.Bit.ly/MarinFoodBank2021.

Thank you, Stephen Murray, for sharing photos of these “happy survivors” of the receiving blankets from our collection drive dropped off just yesterday. May the warmth and comfort provided by these blankets help sustain and propel these survivors to a more stable housing situation in the near future.

Community Heroes and friends are mobilizing to help Dixie Fire evacuees by collecting 1000 blankets and donations to help people displaced by the huge and devastating Dixie Fire. Stephen Murray, honored to call friend and local hero from the Paradise Fires, is on the ground helping evacuees and says the #1 need is new blankets to keep them warm in their makeshift accommodations.
How can you help?
1. Purchase and drop-off or deliver to the address listed on the flyer
2. Paypal Coral Apple Foundation for monetary contributions for food/gas cards
3. Spread the word to your friends, school communities, companies!

People need the items right away, so we have a goal to collect 1,000 blankets by Labor Day. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!
