The hens are finally starting to lay. Today they are getting some cordyceps mycelium on brown rice that I had in the freezer. It is said to increase yolk size and deepen the color. We’ll see. They love it though! These are all the eggs I have so far. The four pack is from today. The earliest eggs are 8 days old.

I just went to check on the chicks and one of the barred rocks flew out of the tent to greet me. Tomorrow they will finally go out on the grass! I’m sad, nervous, and excited about it all at the same time.
