In just a few weeks time we will be having our annual St.James' ladies cake sale. This year our cake sale will be raising funds for our U14 girls, who are traveling to Edinburgh later this year to take part in a tournament hosted by Dunedin Connollys .
So make sure to drop down, get yourself a nice cake, and support our u14 girls.

These main targets include:

• Individuals from disadvantaged areas
• Individuals with disabilities
• Young People
• Ethnic Minorities

Winners of the Ladies and Gents Western Bowls Association Singles Competitions were Geraldine O’Beirn, Athenry Bowls Club and Tony Murphy, Claremorris Bowls Club. Congratulations to you both🥇🥇🏆🏆

The Western Bowls Association Ladies and Gents Semi Finals and Final of the Singles Competitions ended today in the Gort Community Centre. The Final in the Ladies section was won by Geraldine O’Beirn, Athenry Bowls Club who play with Mary Sweeney, Salthill Bowls Club. The Final in the Gents section was won by Tony Murphy, Claremorris Bowls Club who play with Philip Dunne, Gort Bowls Club. What a splendid array of sportsmanship and skill displayed over the past three days. Congratulations to our winners and of course to our gallant participants. A great big thanks to Gort Bowls Cub for being a wonderful host to all the WBA Bowls Clubs who took part and for their Hospitality. 🎖️ 🥇🏅🏆🎳 WOW!

Western Bowls Association Doubles competitions held in Loughrea on the 12th 13th and 14th March’24🏅🏆

Renmore Bowls Holiday in the Castlecourt Hotel in Westport 🥉🏆

The Western Bowls Trebles Competitions took place over three days in Turloughmore Community Centre and the Semi-final and Final took place in Athenry Community Centre. Ten Bowls Clubs took place in the competition from Loughrea, Turloughmore, Gort, Ballinasloe, Mountbellew, Salthill, Athenry, Corofin, Claremorris, And Renmore. Each clubs having two or three teams. It was a spectacular display of sportsmanship and skill to be able to bring the Cup home. Turloughmore 2 Bowls Club were the triumphant winners of the WBA Trebles Competition namely John O’Donovan, Nora Furey and John Ridge and their opponents were from Claremorris namely John Grant, Tony Murphy and Paddy McCallig. Even the frost and snow could not keep our bowlers from competing in these great social and activities of indoor Mat bowling competitions. A great big thank you to all who took part and a special thank you to Denis Browne, Competition Secretary who organises all the games for Western Bowls Association.👏👏🏆 🎖️ 🥇🥈🥉🏅🎖️👏👏👏👏

Active Retirement National Bowls Competitions in Killarney

Western Bowls Association semi final and final of the 4s competition was held today in Ballinfoyle Complex.
Two semi finals between Salthill Bowls Club and Athenry Bowls Club and another Salthill Bowls Club with Mountbellew Bowls Club. The result being the two Salthill Clubs went through to the final. What a spectacular three days of sportsmanship and fun games. Congratulations to Salthill Bowls Club for their complete stamina to the end 👏👏👏🎳🎬 and commiserations to the losers 👏👏👏👏🎳 best of Irish luck next time😀

Indoor Mat Bowling is a great sport for the young at heart. It has many advantages please be sure and join a club near you and join in the fun and games👏😘🎳

The Semi finals of the Loughrea Cup was held in Loughrea today between Salthill Bowls Club Mairead and Peter Rabbitt and Una Giblin and Ann Sweeney and Mountbellew Bowls Club Dominic and Mary Rooney and Marion and Kevin Daly.
After a short break for some refreshments the Final took place between Ann Sweeney and Una Giblin Salthill Bowls Club and Marion and Kevin Daly Mountbellew Bowls Club. The triumphant winners were Mountbellew. Many congratulations to the winners and losers. All round the games were exceptional bowling and fair play.

The Semi Final and Final of the Western Bowls Association Ladies and Gents Singles Competition was held today in Loughrea. These competitions will be the last of the WBA seasonal year 2023. A Presentation Night of all Trophies will take place on the 18th May in the Loughrea Hotel.
