Looking forward to seeing everyone at the open day!!! This will be the last Peerie Club for this term!

Children will be going for a walk and picnic.
Parents can enjoy a cuppa, biscuits and chat about peerie club (we will be running an evaluation for this year).

We are wanting to have another Open Day involving parents so we can evaluate the past 6 months at Peerie Club.

Peeries will be going out for a picnic (weather permitting) and parents can stay for a cuppa and chat with the staff.

The Youth Café is looking for youth workers. if you can help out get in touch with them!

This week in Peerie Club we will be creating and sharing stories for National Share a Story month (MAY). Some of the activities will be doing are:
* Story telling
* Creating our own stories to share
* Arts and Crafts to show our stories as we tell them
* Picnic with our tuckshop in the Public Garden (weather permitting)

For earth day the peeries did a beach clean! This adds to Da Voar Redd Up that was carried out in the morning. Lots of amazing support for mother nature today 😊

Hi all we're able to make it into Scalloway so we'll run peerie club for today 😁 I hope everyone is safe when they travel to the club.

Out plan for today is to do mothers day crafts in the warm :)

Staff are seeing if they can travel safely to run the club today. We will put up a post at 1PM saying if Peerie club will be on or closed today.

Our main concern is the ice with temperatures as low as -6°c. (Met office forecast)

Peerie Club will be opening up from 3pm until 4.30pm Saturday 28th January.
We will be having lots of fun playing games and planning the future activities we want to take part in!!

Wednesday youth club cancelled tonight due to staff illness. Sorry for inconvenience and short notice

Fire Festival Family Foy tickets for Saturday 21st will be on sale at the Centre on Thursday 12th. January at 7pm.
The Foy will be opened by the Jarl and his Squad at 2pm

Our winter programme starts next week with the 60 Plus Drop In on Wednesday 11th January at 2pm and the junior and senior youth club on in the evening; the adult social club is back on Thursday 12th at 6.30pm and the youth cafe on Saturday 14th at 6.30pm. The new Eco Club starts on 7th January for children from primary 6 and up. All other clubs will restart the following week

Looking for a Christmas present? Why not buy the “Our Street” book on Scalloway - a walk down memory lane from Blacksness to Port Arthur in the 1950’s. Lots of photos and memories of that busy time in the village along with up to date photos. A snip at £10. Some available in Scalloway Meat Company or we can post for an additional charge or on sale at the Centre when we are open.

Have you got your raffle tickets for the Christmas Draw due to take place on 17th December at the Youth Cafe. Tickets on sale in local shops and businesses or from the centre when open for clubs. Funds for Christmas Lights and the Centre. Cash prizes and other exciting prizes. Thank you to the Checkout for the lovely hamper prize and the KB for dinner for 2 and there will be many more prizes so make sure you are in it to win it!!

We are asking all parents of children in P1-P3 to meet in the Scalloway Youth and Community Centre to discuss the future of the Peerie Club on
TUESDAY 22nd NOVEMBER at 7pm

Funding for the Peerie Club comes to an end in December. As there has been low attendance over the past 5 months we could not justify applying for continuation funding to continue the service in its present form.

We want to hear from you, as parents, on what you want to see happening in the Centre for this age group.

What an awesome Halloween we've had this year! The peeries were AMAZING at tossing a hoop on the witches hats!!!

Friday Sports is on tomorrow at 6.30 until 8pm for primary 4 to 6 and 8pm to 10pm for primary 7 and up

Houseband is on Friday nights at 6.30 - 8.30pm
Peerie Club back at 3pm until 4.30pn for primary 1 to 3

Youth cafe on Saturday night at 6.30 to 10pm for 10 years and up

Peerie Club is on this Saturday then closed over the holidays

Closing date for Cleaner -Sunday23rd October. We are hiring - Cleaner required 8 - 10 hours a week with some flexibility - mostly daytime with occasional evenings/weekends as required.
