Couldn’t have asked for a better week in DC. Declan got to watch me give a speech, we celebrated birthday and got to show the family where I was stationed while in the Air Force. It was perfect from start to finish. Life is good 🙏🏼

It’s HERE! While I’m 7 months from my Doctorate in Ministry, I wanted to take a moment and celebrate my Bachelors finally making its way to me through the mail. My bachelors in Ministry is such an overwhelming accomplishment and officially ordained me as a Minister in the process. This entire journey has been a blessing and combining these degrees with my Alternative Medicine degree that I’ll finish in April 2024 will give me a better opportunity to help others in so many ways. I’m officially Reverend Chase Skylar now. God is good.

There’s no way I could be in two universities, work full time, volunteer, and be a dad if it wasn’t for the support from everyday. I’m so grateful for her believing in me and allowing us to invest in all of our futures.

FAMILY VACATION was a success. & I both come from families that took the kids everywhere the parents went and we’ve been fortunate enough to see and experience the world because of that. Happy to start that tradition with Declan and make sure he’s attached at our hip when we get to explore life. Cheers to many more vacations on the other side of the world soon.

Today is National Military Spouse Appreciation Day. I cannot stress enough how important a supportive and patient spouse can impact the life of a veteran. has been so incredibly patient as I heal from surgeries, the struggles that come with the procedures and all the little nuances of living the wounded warrior life. I’m grateful everyday of how understanding she is and how proud she is of me and other veterans.

Getting to be your dad is the greatest joy in life. I’ve waited for you for my entire life and now a minute away from you hurts my stomach. This kid is our everything. He’s six months old today 🥹🥹🥹. Happy Half-Birthday

Another amazing and memorable home game with the Orlando Guardians and the XFL family. When I was interviewing for the Director role, I told them I wanted to see my boy on the field after the games seeing what daddy helped build. Declan might be too young to remember this weekend but mommy and daddy sure won’t. It was also our Military Appreciation game where thousands of Veterans and Military were in attendance. The entire team here took it seriously and went above and beyond to make sure we recognized our military during every single break in the game and pregame. Then, our team surprised me completely and recognized me in the fourth quarter for my service and dedication to our hero’s. It was another instance of how happy I am to be here and how grateful I am for this opportunity.

Happy to all the woman in the world who continue to strive for greatness. A shoutout to this boss lady who is not only an incredible mother but continues to light up every room that she enters, both professionally and personally. I am so proud of you

I’ve come out of my 14 hour “darkness retreat” filled with happiness and pride after our very first home game. The fan experince was incredible. As I stood on the sideline with the players during the National Anthem, I had this overwhelming feeling that made me shed some tears. What a life I’m blessed to live. Our staff is the best in the XFL and the fans in the stands got to see all the work we put in. Next home game is March 11 at 7pm and is Military Appreciation Night…something I know a little bit about 🥹🏈🇺🇸

After six amazing years at iHeartMedia, I’m excited to announce I’ve accepted the Director of Partnerships role with the XFL’s Orlando Guardians Football Team.

I’m incredibly excited for this new role and to be a part of professional sports once again. With Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia as owners, this season is sure to be memorable! Orlando will be playing their home games on national television right here at Camping World Stadium starting February 26th – get your tickets now or watch on ESPN.

My time at iHeartMedia has been so special and has allowed me to grow in to my new role. The on-air talent, my clients, and fellow cohorts have been incredibly supportive over the years and I will miss them dearly.

We are beyond blessed to welcome Declan Glenn DeMayo to our family. 9:23am on November 9, 2022 - our angel came out at 9.4oz and 21 inches tall. Mommy and Baby were truly incredible and we’ve got a healthy baby peacefully next to a healing Mum. There are truly no words to describe the love and joy we are feeling right now. We should be home by Friday and look forward to sharing Declan’s adorable cheeks and laugh with you all soon.

Declan translates to “Man of Prayer” as well as “full of goodness” and nothing could be more true.

I can’t believe it’s been 4 years since they sawed my leg and put in some new parts and a new knee. It was absolutely one of the most challenging times of my life. While I was never promised a full recovery, I’m able to get around pretty darn good compared to before the replacement. But what really helped me get by was because without her, I would have not recovered mentally and physically. Forever grateful.

This past Friday, I was given the opportunity to speak at the Wounded Warrior Project 19th Anniversary Gala in Orlando. I've certainly given my fair share of speeches, but this one was different. This was among my peers and our supporters and for that, it made it much more meaningful. I was able to share how much has helped myself and my family. It was a small microscopic look in to all of the programs Veterans can utilize and benefit from. Of course, the best wife ever was there to cheer me on and steal the show

Thank you to everyone who attended. We laughed, we cried, we loved.

We got to bring some of the family along to see our baby boy! We are in the home stretch and third trimester now…WOW! He’s also in the 99th percentile, so, how long before he’s taller than 6’3 and looks down on me?! I’ll guess by the time he’s 14 🧐🤣 is incredible and growing our big guy and handling it with all the grace. I’m a lucky guy, always!

I’m two weeks away from giving a few speeches in Utah, the most important of my life. The first speech is about not waiting to find happiness. Chasing your light is doing things everyday to make yourself smile and feel like you’re doing something you love. Maybe you’re in a job you dislike, maybe you’re struggling emotionally, or financially. Maybe you’re just stuck. That’s okay! Think about one thing that will make you smile today and DO IT! Baby steps are the best steps. Chase that light! ❤️❤️❤️

What an amazing cruise! It was our first time cruising as guests since we both stopped working on cruise ships in 2016 & 2017. I’d never heard of a before but boy am I glad we took one before our little one joins the family in November. Cruising as a guest is a totally different experience - I think that’s pretty obvious but the best part was reminiscing about all the great times we had and all the close friends we made on ships over the years. It was the perfect mix of nostalgia and fun! Here’s to many more as a family in the coming years.

It’s you say…?! Well it goes without saying that has been through it all with me and still sticks around. I can’t imagine having a better best friend than the person who is always there for me.

IT’S OFFICIAL! I’ve been named as a featured speaker, TWICE! I’m heading to Salt Lake City to speak at the International Association of Near-Death Studies Annual Conference this August 31-September 4. My first hour long speech will focus on Chasing the Light and how to live a happy and meaningful life. My second panel will focus on the need for more research for our military and near-death experiences that so many of us endure. This is such an amazing opportunity and I look forward to sharing more soon!

ALERT! I just returned from my weekend in Miami with and the amazing who are keeping me accountable. With the three Traumatic Brain Injuries, Knee replacements, blown back and other issues sustained during my military service…I needed some help on how to adapt and stay healthy. Through movement, nutritional education, coaching, goal-setting, and skill-building, warriors are empowered to make long-term changes toward a healthier life.

The cornerstone of the Physical Health & Wellness program is the multi-week Coaching Program, which helps warriors develop an active lifestyle and better nutrition habits. Warriors reach their goals through various activities and challenges that help them improve their physical health, mental health, and overall well-being.

How does Sarah do it all?! never ceases to amaze me. She’s been traveling this year all over the country as the newest Show Director for - getting to work with dance kids just like herself when she was competing in Australia…all that on top of working full time in Entertainment at - that’s not all…she’s also performing at as Bunny, bringing so much joy to families visiting Orlando. Did I mention, she’s also part of the solar squad for getting to hype up the crowds. Within the last month, she’s also added Peer Support for with me. ALL of this and she’s still the best mommy to Boomer and wife to me. This is definitely an appreciation post as well as an important note: When you love what you do, there are no time constraints. Find your happy. Chase your light.

Once I learned what meant, I used it about twenty times that day. The drip was real kids. If you don’t know what it means, I suggest you spend ten minutes around our youth to pick up on all the “new” words us old folk have no clue about 😜🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Just a boy and his yard 😜 tis’ the season for yard work, home projects and cleaning. We’re getting new sod put in, a new screen enclosure, updating the laundry room, and putting a few updates in the bathrooms…hopefully before it gets to 100 degree days here. Wow. Sarah and I just returned from the Project Odyssey with 11 other Wounded Warrior couples. A week spent in Key West, growing, healing and coming together like no one would understand. Veterans and our spouses are a special breed. We GET each other like no one ever will. We both sacrifice so much for our country and each other and it was amazing seeing couples just like us. We’re “built different” 😏 super blessed to have made new friends, family and brothers in this trip and excited for a couple more this year. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

2021 was an incredible year filled with growth with everything in my life. Trying to quantify what happened in 2021 is hard to grasp but listing it out allows me to fully appreciate that year that we’ve had.

-Started two separate Universities to achieve a double doctorate
-Earned the Deans list all through 2021
-Was featured in a Best Selling Book
-Made the news 19+ times for my work
-Spoke internationally for three conferences
-Became a Peer Support Warrior for the Wounded Warrior Project
-Volunteered at three WWP Project Odysseys
-Earned my Master Reiki Certification within a year
-Hit my 2022 goal for iHeartRadio before 2021 ended
-Renovated several parts of our house
-Made Sarah laugh at least 3 times
-Started learning Blues Guitar
-Took more vacation and breaks through the year
-Made Boomer love me the most
-And most importantly, I watched and supported Sarah growing in to this absolute BOSS at Universal Studios through 2021.
