Nigel Wright - Burrows (Hymnal Moths Cover)
In case you missed it, the supreme Nigel Wright surprised us the other week and released an eerie, understated video for his cover of "Burrows."

The Drift, Set List 29, 20 January 2016, a playlist by Jessie St George on Spotify
Extremely honored to be placed in featured rotation on the venerable Album 88 AND included in this incredible playlist by The Drift on Album 88, right up next to some of my absolute favorite songs from some of my absolute favorite artists.
I can never say this enough, but many, many thanks to anyone who has listened to our music, even if just for a second or two seconds or even the immense span of time that is three seconds. It may not be a big deal to some (looking at you, Bob Dylan), but having songs that were written and recorded in private spaces put onto playlists and played on the radio is an immense delight for someone who expected nothing from simply posting an album on the internet.
Hope to see you soon!

November 12th is not open to the public, but you're more than welcome to imagine yourself on the shores of Lake Michigan with two handsome, thoughtful guys. We'll be there, looking at that pair of guys from our perch upon the dunes, seething and wishing we were thoughtful or handsome.

WRAS Atlanta I Album 88 I 88.5 FM
Extremely grateful for all of the support that 'No Spirit' has received since its release. If you haven't had a chance to hear it yet, it'll be played in its entirety tonight around 7:00 PM on Album 88's Georgia Music Show program.
The whole program runs from 6:00-8:00 PM, and you can stream the show here if your Scrooge-like grandpappy won't let you borrow his radio:

The album is also available for streaming on Spotify, iTunes Music, Amazon Prime, and Tidal. You can also purchase it on iTunes, Amazon, or Google Play, but you shouldn't if you're a thrifty consumer because it's 'Pay What You Want' on BandCamp.
www2.gsu.edu Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) will make its long-awaited debut on the Atlanta radio airwaves this June through a programming partnership with Georgia State University station WRAS 88.5 FM. Longtime collaborator Nigel Wright helped tremendously throughout the whole process and appears on 'Grey Mother,' esteemed illustrator Owen Gent Illustration produced the art, and Sam Dean did some important graphic work.
You may find this summary useful for identifying in advance which song might appeal to you most:
- BURROWS is a triple-banjo barrage for people who like dirt
- SOM is for fake occultists that like happy endings
- GREY MOTHER is for people who love their moms
- COULDN'T is for people that can't say goodbye well
- WORSHIP is a reverb-drenched farce about how I'm the
greatest
- ARBOREAL is for mothers looking for pyre-inspired lullabies
for their beautiful, flammable babies
- EPHEMERAL is a slow-burning anthem for people who
were previously and perhaps cripplingly scared of dying
- WORM/SERPENT is a Hellboy-inspired dirge in multiple
movements (FFO Hellboy, dirges, movements)
Anyways, if you listen to even one second of any song on this album, consider us deeply grateful. For real.
