A bright and colourful cake for my sister's baby shower a few months back. Vanilla and strawberry layer cake with vanilla buttercream swirls and tonnes of glitter and handmade bunting.

I haven't posted in such a long time! Life got busy with selling our house and building a new one but I have done a couple of cakes so will post them over the next few days.

A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege of making our good friends wedding cake.
This two tier cake is chocolate cake with chocolate filling on the bottom and carrot cake with cream cheese filling on the top, both covered with white fondant and decorated with lace and fresh flowers.

Something a bit different for Megan's Kitchen. Homemade grain free granola.
I find it so hard to find breakfast cereals that don't contain oats or other cheap fillers so I decided to make my own. I'm looking forward to breakfast tomorrow!
Contains cashews, almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, peanuts, apricots, blueberries, cranberries and mango with a little bit of honey and coconut oil.
Just pulled some pear and vanilla crumble muffins out of the oven, they smell delish!

My big sister had knee surgery today so I made her a baby cake to cheer her up.
Two layer 4inch chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream grass and fondant flowers.

A very large 2 layer chocolate cake with ombre pink buttercream roses, finished with fondant flowers and butterflies and glitter for a beautiful girl's 13th birthday.

Bbq with friends calls for a giant Lamington cake. Two sponge cakes covered in a boysenberry and strawberry coating dusted with coconut, filled with sweetned whipped cream and topped with cream and white chocolate buttons :)

Oh facebook!!! .............FACEBOOK has recently changed its rules for Business Pages again.
So, here's the deal; A person has to be 'active' on your page a minimum of 3 times within any calendar month period.
This means a 'like' of a picture, a comment or a full post on the wall. If a person is not active on your page, as listed above, after a month of no activity, their 'like' will be removed from your page, as FB has decided they are not interested in your page!
So, if you are a fan of any pages, do make sure you are regularly active.
Even just one quick post a week will ensure that the page will remain in your timeline..
It's also been found that the more Likes or Comments any one post receives, the more people that see it in their Newsfeed.
So if you see a post or photo from any Business page you are a fan of make sure you like it, or even comment on it.

The SECOND cake! Yeah I know right! Megan of Megan's Kitchen was bridesmaid for her sister Kirstin who's wedding I captured and it was there I first talked to her about her love of cakerery (that's a word right?). So amazing with what she created... even made the flowers by hand for us.... wowsers!

Today was not a fun day in the kitchen! After broken tools and non cooperating ingredients I got there in the end with the encouragement of my lovely boyfriend and am quite happy with the final result :)
