Seed of Encouragement
When we hold on to anger, animosity and unforgiveness it releases a poison within us that eats away at our spirit. It causes us to live in torment while it slowly destroys our love, our peace, our joy... it hinders us from receiving and enjoying the abundance of God's blessings. We have to be intentional about making the decision to forgive so that we can rid ourselves of these toxins that are literally making us sick. Refuse to continue to be held in the bo***ge that comes with holding on to these negative feelings and emotions... RELEASE and be FREE!!!

Get rid of ALL bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ. Ephesians‬ ‭4:31-32‬

Stop being bitter and angry and mad at others. Don't yell at one another or curse each other or ever be rude. Instead, be kind and merciful, and forgive others, just as God forgave you because of Christ. Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭31‬-‭32‬

Unless we take time to deliberately shut out the distractions… the meaningless chatter… the chaos and the confusion of the world… the constant connection to our electronic devices… we will have a hard time hearing and understanding what God is sharing with us. We must be intentional in taking time to SHUT THE DOOR to the distractions of this world. Take time to be still… take time to yield ourselves completely to the Lord, so that we might hear what the Holy Spirit is revealing and receive what He is releasing to us.

“Then go into your house with your sons and shut the door behind you. Pour olive oil from your flask into the jars, setting each one aside when it is filled.” So she did as she was told. Her sons kept bringing jars to her, and she filled one after another.” 2 Kings‬ ‭4:4-5‬

We have all experienced a snake bite or a backstabbing at some point in life... the actions of someone close to us has caused us to feel pain. And sometimes we can get so caught up in focusing on the hurt and the pain, that we hinder the healing process and we miss the lessons God wants us to get from the experience. Hurt will happen, of this we can be sure and the more we focus on the hurt, the more hurt it will produce. BUT GOD IS ABLE to HEAL every hurt as we look to Him... and the more we focus on Him, the more healing, deliverance and breakthrough we will experience!!!

I will lift up my eyes to the hills [of Jerusalem]-- From where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. Psalm‬ ‭121:1-2‬

When we move from one address to another, we don't continue to go back to the place we moved from as if we still live there. The same is true with us in our new life in Christ... we have been delivered, set free and redeemed from the life that was and made righteous to press into the life that will be with Christ. The enemy will try to condemn us and keep us weighed down with guilt and shame and mistakes of the past, but thanks be to God that the Blood of Jesus covers it ALL!!!

Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Romans 5:1

God does not throw us out when we mess up... He redeems us and gives us another chance. When we relinquish our mess to God, the Master Recycler, He can take the mess of our mistakes and wrong choices... teach us lessons through them and use them for our ultimate good. God is able to take what is viewed by man as trash and turn it into WONDERFUL TREASURES.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

God's Word changed the universe from nothing into the world we know and live in today. That same power…that same TRANSFORMATIONAL POWER is available to us today!!! Change from nothing to something will begin manifest in lives when we move from just reading and listening to DOING, SPEAKING, BELIEVING, and LIVING what God says in His Word.

Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! James‬ ‭1‬:‭22‬

Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬

When a problem comes up, we are quick to speak what's on our mind, and usually what's on our mind in that moment is rooted in doubt, fear and worry. But, we have to be mindful of what we allow to be released from our mouths and remind ourselves not to be so quick to speak what's in our head. If we take a moment and reflect before we speak, we allow the wisdom of the Word of God that is in our heart to flow from our mouths and fill the atmosphere. Remember, the Bible says... from the abundance of the heart (not the head) the mouth speaks.

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart... What you say flows from what is in your heart. Luke 6:45

Negative words, thoughts and feelings will come upon us with the intention to make us feel bad and to wear us down. We have to be alert and be aware of them and choose NOT to meditate on them, but to SHUT THEM DOWN IMMEDIATELY. We may not be able to stop the negative from coming, but we can limit the time it stays on our mind. The way to get rid of the negative is to purposely fill our mind with the Word of God and thoughts of things that are good, positive, uplifting and encouraging. Accentuate the positive!!!

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5

Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Philippians 4:8

When we encounter difficult people it may seem as if their actions are directed directly at us to cause us frustration and irritation... but, if we could see beyond the surface of their actions to the root cause of their behavior we would probably realize that person needs to experience and receive peace. Let’s strive to be the piece of peace that the people we encounter need to experience… because as we sow peace to others, we will also reap a harvest of peace in our lives.

Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32

Always try to do good to each other and to all people. 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:15‬

Choose to walk in peace with others... especially those that frustrate, irritate and aggravate us... make the choice to treat others in the way that is pleasing to God. When we choose to honor God with our choices, God will in return honor us and bless us for displaying the attitude and the character that is pleasing to Him. This also allows others to see a reflection of God in us. We are not held accountable for how others treat us, nor do we reap what they sow... we are held accountable for our own actions and we reap the consequences of what we sow.

“Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring God, harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life.” Galatians‬ ‭6:7-8‬

A small thing such as a lie that the devil has convinced us to believe can have a STRONG hold on us. Father God, we ask You to help us to be mindful to renew our minds daily... to be transformed by Your Word through the Power of the Holy Spirit at work in us so that we can be set free from EVERY lie of the enemy! We have the mind of Christ and we believe the TRUTH of Your Word Father, therefore we will no longer continue to allow the lies of the devil to hinder us from the GREAT plans You have for our lives!!!

But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]. 1 Corinthians 2:16

I keep MY MIND stayed on you, and I am kept in perfect peace. MY MIND is peaceful. MY MIND is open and receptive to the Holy Spirit. MY MIND is renewed by the word of God. MY MIND is filled with faith. MY MIND is perfect. MY MIND is brilliant and magnificent. MY MIND is loving, caring, and merciful. MY MIND is aware, alert, and equipped. MY MIND is enlightened with Spiritual understanding.

“Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship. And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”

‭‭Let’s meditate on, and use these Kingdom Words (My Mind) in our conversations today to produce great and mighty Kingdom Results in our lives.

The more we focus on things that are beyond our control to change, the more we allow those things to disturb and disrupt our peace. BUT GOD said if we keep our mind on Him, He will keep us in perfect peace. Father God, help us keep our mind stayed on You. Help us to keep our thoughts tuned in to the things of the Spirit so that we may live in joy and peace at ALL times.

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭3‬

We have to stop holding on to those negative feelings and emotions inflicted upon us by those who have hurt us. Whether it was done knowingly or unknowingly... willingly or unwillingly... release the offense and the offender to God… and receive God's peace. No matter how often we feel the need to do it, continue to give it to God!!! God is our Vindicator and we can trust Him to make right every wrong... release it ALL to him. Let go and let God work things out!

If someone has done you wrong, do not repay him with a wrong. Try to do what everyone considers to be good. Do everything possible on your part to live in peace with everybody. Never take revenge, my friends, but instead let God's anger do it. For the scripture says, “I will take revenge, I will pay back, says the Lord. Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭17‬-‭19‬

Once we get a taste of something that is pleasing to our tastebuds, we begin to crave and desire that particular thing and no other substitute will satisfy that craving. The Word of God is also like that because once we really get an understanding of what God is saying to us in His Word, it stirs up a craving and desire within us and we come to realize that there is NOTHING else that can fulfill us or satisfy us like the Word of God!

Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! Psalm‬ ‭34:8‬

Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Proverbs‬ ‭4:7‬

It's a natural reaction to get discouraged and upset about unpleasant situations... but, we must not allow external issues to be the determining factor in our level of joy and peace. No matter what comes our way... we have to tap into our spiritual reservoir and allow Holy Spirit to bring our remembrance that God is ALWAYS with us, He is ALWAYS working on our behalf and HE IS the true source of our peace and joy. As we stay focused on Him, He will keep us filled with His peace and joy.

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

We experience situations that can be physically and mentally draining, and what we do in the midst of these circumstances will cause us to either be overwhelmed or to rise above and overcome. We have to be mindful that faith comes by hearing and intentionally build up our spirit and our faith with the Word of God to gain the VICTORY in these situations. And even though sometimes the situation itself may not change… our faith will grow stronger, the situation will no longer have a negative impact on us and there will be benefits that we will reap from having experienced the situation.

Be glad about this, even though it may now be necessary for you to be sad for a while because of the many kinds of trials you suffer. Their purpose is to prove that your faith is genuine. Even gold, which can be destroyed, is tested by fire; and so your faith, which is much more precious than gold, must also be tested, so that it may endure. Then you will receive praise and glory and honor on the Day when Jesus Christ is revealed. 1 Peter‬ ‭1:6-7‬

This is the day that we set aside to celebrate and show our appreciation to the fathers… for without them, there would be no us. Fathers are often the unsung heroes… a lot of what they do goes unnoticed and they are not given the praise they deserve. But, today we focus on ALL that is good… we BLESS them and give them the honor and the respect they deserve. We give thanks to all of the fathers and a special tribute to those who have stepped up, stepped in and filled in the father figure role. Father’s Day Blessings to you all!!!

And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers Malachi‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬

What the devil sends to try to take us out, God will use that thing to build us up in Him and make us better. We may get tried in the fire, but we are coming out as pure refined gold!!! Things in our lives may get damaged, lost or stolen BUT GOD IS ABLE to return and restore ABOVE and BEYOND all that we can ask or imagine. Everything that God allows us to experience can be used to benefit us… but don’t miss the benefit He wants you to get focusing by only on the difficulty of the situation at hand.

But He knows the way that I take [and He pays attention to it]. When He has tried me, I will come forth as [refined] gold [pure and luminous]. Job‬ ‭23‬:‭10‬

The purpose of these troubles is to test your faith as fire tests how genuine gold is. Your faith is more precious than gold, and by passing the test, it gives praise, glory, and honor to God. This will happen when Jesus Christ appears again. 1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬

When a seed is planted in soil, it does not just automatically take root and begin to grow without some additional actions on our part. It is the same with the Word of God that is planted in the soil of our hearts... that Word has to be watered and nurtured in order for it to grow and produce results in our lives. Hearing the Word is good, but it’s not enough to just hear the Word… we have to meditate on the Word, put the Word into action and make the Word an active part of our day to day lives.

Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted! Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.” The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!” Matthew 13:8-9, 23
