I have good news. 😊 LensWork magazine, a fine art photography magazine, has published an Image Suite of mine called Yosemite Waters. There are ten black-and-white images created from photos I shot in our beautiful Yosemite National Park. My photo of Yosemite Falls even made the back cover. What an honor! The image on the title page is Bridal Veil Falls.
My La Jolla Seascapes 2022 Calendar is now in print! It's a 13-month wall calendar that can be purchased from Warwick's Books in La Jolla or through my website--www.ImagesByAnnCollins.com--which automatically adds shipping. Calendar price: $18.00 plus tax. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. 😊
I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed by Mindy Flanagan of TourFreely, a company that has created a cell phone audio tour of La Jolla, California. She has written about me and my book, La Jolla: Jewel by the Sea, for her blog. https://tourfreely.com/an-interview-with-ann-collins-author-of-la-jolla-jewel-by-the-sea/

This Saturday, August 24, 2019, is San Diego's Festival of Books! It's at Liberty Station, and I will be a panelist on the San Diego Local panel (11:30 a.m.) because of my La Jolla: Jewel by the Sea book. Tickets are $3.00 and can be purchased through the Festival site. I will be signing my book beforehand (10-10:45) at the Sunbelt Publications booth and after the panel at the La Playa Books booth. It should be a lot of fun. I'm even speaking on a panel the evening before at the VIP reception. I'm very honored to have been selected.
On February 21, Las Vegas residents ventured out to Red Rock Canyon to enjoy the unusual amount of snow that had fallen. They had snowball fights, took selfies, and built snowmen of many sizes, especially minis like this one.
I tried to upload this photo with my Special Encounter in the Smokies post, but something went wrong, so here it is as it's supposed to look, I hope. 🙂
Good news! In today's San Diego Union-Tribune's Arts section, my photo book, "La Jolla: Jewel by the Sea," was listed as the #1 bestseller at Warwick's bookstore. My signing there was a lot of fun, and many of the attendees bought multiple copies to give as gifts. I'm very pleased, and I'm grateful to all the people who came out that evening.
This is fun. A reporter for the La Jolla Light, a newspaper in my hometown, interviewed me about my new book, La Jolla: Jewel by the Sea. I was honored to be a featured artist for Women's History Month at Art.com. A creative three-person team from Art.com flew to San Diego and interviewed me. It was a fun and positive experience even when it started raining. A little rain doesn't stop nature photography either. 🙂

Happy New Year! Here's a new image from my trip to the Pacific Northwest last spring. It's Cape Meares State Park in Oregon. While other photographers were hoping for the setting sun to come through the lens of the lighthouse, I was looking for nature-type shots.
