Anyone who has ever been interested in Cheerleading and is in High School or going to be a Freshmen please message me so I can get you some information. If you are unsure and would like to come to the meeting or a couple of practices to see what cheer is all about still message me or any of the cheerleaders (Olivia Arndt, Kacey Kennedy, Mira Hinzman, Emma Palmer, Bailey Brewer, Emma Tisil, Kory Falk, Daphne Hawley, Sydney Ales, or Aly Deford) and they to will also help you out and answer any of your questions. I will update the page later today with a meeting for next week. We will go over things you will need, practice and game schedules and answer any of your questions. Many of the Cheerleaders Dual sport so let me know ahead of time if you will also be participating in another sport.

Looking at having a meeting next Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night of next week (13th - 15th) any nights not work for any of you? please let me know and pass this onto any that I do not have, Thank you!

Mark Watters has asked that anyone interested in riding the Coach Bus "IF" the baseball team wins on wed. to advance to Thursday's. championship game please contact him and let him know by the end of the day today so he knows if he has enough to get a bus!

REMINDER......There is a fan bus heading to the game next wed. for the baseball game. There are around 10 to 15 seats left. It is a coach bus and will be leaving from the high school at 5:30 a.m. It is 10.00 to ride the bus and 8.00 a ticket to get into the game. Please contact Mark Watters if you are interested in riding. Please help spread the word!

A sign up for Football Cheer will be in the office for next week. I will put it in there tonight. PLEASE sign up if you are interested in cheering. Without a certain amount of cheerleaders we will not have a squad so please put your name on the sign up even if you have already told me you were going to cheer, Thank you and Cheer On!

Any cheerleaders that have been selling pizza's I need to get your order sheets from you this weekend. I will be at the varsity game tonight so you could bring them to me there or please message me a time we could meet up. Thank you for all of your hard work and I will get the orders together this weekend and have a delivery date for you by monday or tuesday.

Starting today the RIo Football Cheerleading squad is selling Emil's Pizzas. We are hoping to raise enough money for new warm-ups and possibly new uniforms. Please contact Coach Stephanie or one of the cheerleaders to place an order to help support the Cheer Squad. Pizza's start at 5.25 each and go up. The Fundraiser sale is good thru Feb. 20th, pizza's will be in about 1 to 2 weeks after. We thank you for support!

For those of you that have a uniform and have not turned it could you please bring them into me this week. We have practice on Monday and Tuesday night from 515 to 715. I will need them turned into me by the end of this week please!

Tonight starts the first practice of the 2014/15 basketball/wrestling season. So much to look forward to this season. A stunting clinic, toys for tots drive, emil's pizza sale, 2+ routines, cheer holiday party not to mention great seasons of cheering on our rio viking athletes and the list goes on. If you want to join or come see what cheer is all about please come join us tonight at 515 on the stage.

The Cheerleading sign up for the basketball/wrestling season is in the office. If you would like to be on the squad or just get more information please put your name on the list. FIRST PRACTICE WILL BE MONDAY NOV. 10TH (5:15 TO 7:15) in the commons

Reminder: tonight is the Fall Awards Banquet. Dinner starts at 6:30. Please bring a dish to pass and your own silverware, and plates. Awards ceremony to follow. Hope to see you all there :-)

The Cheerleaders and Football team went to visit the Elem. School. So much fun was had by both the High Schoolers and the Elementary kids.

Tomorrow we along with the Football team will be going to the Elementary school to have lunch and hang out with the kids. Thursday we will have practice to prepare for Friday's pre-game Pep Rally. Please make sure you pass the word around about Friday nights big game and let's get a big crowd there in support of Rio's shot at the Conference Title. (if we win I believe this would only be our 3rd in history) Please also do not forget to spread the word about the fan bus as well. Lots going on and GO VIKINGS!

This Friday the Rio Vikings will be playing in Cambria for the Conference title. We are thinking about having a fan bus. We will need at least 20 people on the bus. So grab your red and white and sign up to ride the bus to Cambria to cheer on our Rio Vikings for a Conference Championship. Looking at a 6:00 bus time with final details to come shortly ;-)

It's Senior Night tonight at the big hometown Football game Vs. Randolph Rockets. Don't know about you all but I am not ready to say goodbye to all of our amazing seniors!

Jennifer's dream was to ride ontop of the fire truck for a parade, so for her senior year we made it happen........

Homecoming Parade 2014. Was so happy the rain held out. Lots of fun and Thank you to Rio Fire Dept. and Eric Wakeman for driving us this year. Now onto the Big Game tonight...... dress warm everyone and GO VIKINGS!

team dinner, bus ride and Game at Johnson Creek

We have team dinner tomorrow night and then Friday nights game is in Johnson Creek. Bus time will be 5:30. Please wear your leggings again and if your hands were cold last week you can wear gloves. Please make them red thou :-)
