🔎We are looking for Volunteers to help out at the Horses & Heroes Rodeo!🔎

We are looking for volunteers 14 years old and up, that are available from 4:45pm-9pm Friday, October 25th and Saturday, October 26th. Volunteers are needed for ushers, VIP attendants, ticket scanners and more!

Kaye Lee, EagleWatch Coordinator for Clay, Duval and Nassau counties, is looking to create a raptor rescue group in our area! She needs rescuers, transporters to rehab (Maitland and Apopka and rare occasion Tampa) and transporters to pick up birds for release back home.

The need is great for rescue and transport to a rehab since there is no raptor rehabilitation center any where in NEFL. She will provide the training necessary for the rescuing and details of the transports to rehab and again for release.

We’ll be at under the Palm Valley Bridge by the kayak launch.

1️⃣ Keep St. Johns County Beautiful will be hosting an environmental cleanup which is sure to gather a lot of debris.
2️⃣ Research: any regulation catches can be submitted to scientists standing by. They will be pulling blood samples and testing for microplastics, pharmaceuticals, hormones, and more.
3️⃣ GTM Research Reserve will be conducting their Oysters seminar on site with activities for kids and families.

This event is FREE and open to the public.

Registration ahead of time is appreciated but not required.

Junior Achievement of North Florida

Volunteers needed to teach at Ed White High or Westside High! Volunteers are needed to teach either JA Personal Finance, which teaches students about the connection with today's financial decisions and future financial freedom, or JA Career Success, which equips students with the tools and soft skills to earn and keep a job.

3 visits of 90 minutes each during the school day, dates determined based on volunteer availability.

Volunteers in Medicine, Jacksonville (VIM-Jax)

At Volunteers in Medicine we realize that giving is not always about money. We have over 230 volunteers a month that contribute close to 20,000 hours annually. We are so thankful for them. One of those volunteers was happy to be at the clinic giving her time on . Sarah Helms, PhD who volunteers as a Psychologist at the clinic stated in her words "I am very fortunate, and not the least of the ways is in my opportunity to give back, alongside an amazing group of volunteers. Growing up, my family wasn't always in a position to donate financially to causes that were important, but my dad always donated his time. So even though I am now in a position to be able to donate philanthropically in our community, I really value the spaces where I can give my time, and in a way that honors his memory and the values he instilled in me. As an added bonus, I also always get to leave the office feeling a deep sense of gratitude and fulfillment, so maybe it's not only Giving Tuesday but also Getting Tuesday, because I always feel like I personally GET so much out of my time there."
