Bella is about 2-3 years old lurcher, found stray and taken out of pound by Glencarraig Sighthound Rescue. She spent the last 6 months there and could do with a forever sofa at this stage. She's fully housetrained and very clean in the house. She never barks or chews anything. She gets on with all dogs in the house and also strange dogs that she meets on her walks. She's very friendly and loyal. She loves her walks and doesn't pull on the lead. She's very obedient and willing to please her owner, as a lurcher she loves to run when she's let off leash in the field but she comes back when called. Nevertheless, she loves nothing more than snuggling on the couch with you. She's a very placid dog, not bouncy at all despite her looks and size.. she would make a perfect family pet as is very gentle with children and causes no issues in the house. She could happily live with other dogs but no cats or small furry animals. Ready for her new home now.

We hear on the news about another bite incident that could have been avoided with education. The Dog SAFE program is out to help stop these incidents by visiting schools to educate children on how to stay safe around familiar and unfamiliar dogs as well as learning how much fun dogs can be. We then intend on doing educational seminars for parents, dog owners and anyone else who would like to attend. Our aim is to avoid more incidents like this one. PLEASE help to spread the word about the Dog SAFE program so we can get our message out there. Thank you.
