When the Lord speaks, it's best to stop what you're doing and listen. It pays to pause for the Master's "cause".

PMPK has taken a brief break until God moves us in the direction God wants me to go. I am hearing alot about redistricting, but no one is talking about prison-based gerrymandering. Avoiding that conversation is like putting a bandaid over cancer.

MY GOD IS SUFFICIENT--A message from Promises Made Promises Kept on this Resurrection Sunday. Please stay home, wash your hands, and always practice social or physical distancing. If not for yourself, do it for those you love.

As of Thursday afternoon, about 20% of the 5,512 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ohio were African American patients, who make up just 12% of the population.

Common sense is a useful weapon against the virus. But if that route doesn't excite you, you can still get your makeup and nails done and even that pedicure, and I know you won't mind waiting because according to the mortician the office stays open. Be well, stay well on this Resurrection SON's Day. PMPK

STAY WOKE--this is a copy of a recent news article: Ohio will move its presidential primary election to late April and conduct it almost entirely by mail after the governor and top state health officials ordered the polls closed in mid-March, citing an unacceptable health risk posed by crowded voting locations.

While Gov. Mike DeWine had initially proposed a June 2 primary as a substitute, the Ohio legislature has moved the official date to April 28. Under the new plan, approximately 7.8 million registered voters in Ohio will receive postcards
with instructions for applying for a ballot. Ballots postmarked by April 27 will be counted.Only those voters who are disabled or who do not have a permanent address will be allowed to vote in person, by appearing at their local elections boards.

Ohio’s secretary of state, Frank LaRose, and voting rights advocates have criticized the new timetable. Mr. LaRose, who had favored a June 2 primary, called it “disappointing” that the legislature had “significantly reduced the time to bring this
primary to a close.”

The League of Women Voters said it was exploring the possibility of filing a lawsuit to stop the new process. “The whole package is a problem,” said Jen Miller, executive director of the League of Women Voters of Ohio. “States that do vote-by-mail have a process that’s 10 weeks. We’re trying to transfer that to four.”
