Where do I begin...it’s been a crazy journey from writing this short , to assembling the team, to finding locations and a cast, to directing it, to acting in it, to editing it, to submitting it to festivals, and now to getting it into its first qualifying festival which was its LA Premiere! There’s a part of me that felt like such a fraud from the moment I conceived of the idea to the moment I said “im going to direct a short film”. But greater than my feeling of fraudulence or inadequacy was my passion and conviction for the theme of the film which came about because I felt plagued by my own inability to decipher facts from fiction in this new era of politics and media. The more I thought about it, I wondered how I was potentially distorting facts in my personal life. This film is a fictional account of what happens to many people in the face of conflict when they have to decide what is true or false in order to proceed and the consequences of those decisions. So much sweat, blood, and literal tears went into making it happen and it felt damn good on Monday for people to respond to the storytelling in with enthusiasm and thought provoking discussion. That response was truly the greatest gift. I am so grateful to every soul that lent their incredible creativity, guidance and skill set to making this film a reality, to and Bob for inviting this film to the table and acknowledging it as worthy, and after all of it to be able to say with confidence now: “I Am A , I Am A , and this is just the beginning.”

Hello Facebook Friends! I am exactly one week away from shooting my first short that I wrote and will be directing and starring in called BLINDSIGHT. It's a psychological thriller about a woman who in the face of an impending hurricane is forced into a shelter where she must face different perspectives on an event she's been avoiding, from the people she's been avoiding. A lot of fun, dark, twists and turns.

I've got a great creative team:

Rebecca Raleigh Farmer is Costume Designing

I am going to be directing and playing the lead Hunter. Charlie Barnett costarring playing Aaron (Chicago Fire, Orange Is The New Black, Secrets and Lies, Valor), Valarie Pettiford (Valor,Being Mary Janel), Jerry Boyd (American Crime Story) is Julian, Carlye Hughes (American Housewives) is Talon, and Tru Collins (Awkward, Insecure) is Liza, Stephen Guarino (Im Dying Up Here, Happy endings) is The Security Guard, and Lisa Linke (Modern family) is the volunteer.

We are shooting two scenes on two different days in Van Nuys

Day 1: Friday May 25th, Is a Hurricane Shelter. Asking that extras arrive at 11am and we are shooting until 10pm. Street clothes

Day 2: Saturday May 26th, Is an Engagement Party. Asking that extras arrive at 7pm shoot til 5am. Party attire...either Artist Formal or Conservative formal

Length of time you stay is flexible, but if you can stay until the end you will be a rock star!

Last night performing at David Geffens 75th birthday party at Jimmy Iovine’s home was...one for the books. No video or photos allowed because of the level of king and queendom in that room. But when Sir Elton John kisses your hand after you perform and tells you you did incredible work and you look out into the audience and see Oprah, Steven Spielberg, Dr Dre and Paul McCartney dancing with you to your number...something inevitably shifts. I have never been so honored to perform on a stage. And of course sharing a stage with Tom Hanks wasn’t bad either. It’s crazy what simply falls in your lap sometimes. A perfect reminder that everyone is on their own unique path for them and them only, and with persistence, patience, God’s grace and your faith only can you unlock your own perfect destiny. ❤️

TONIGHT is the season finale of . What an honor it was/is to be a part of this family. So much LOVE to my cast for an incredible season. Here’s to all the wonderful things that are to come for us all. xoxo 💕💕💕💕💕
