Here’s another pair of Christmas socks I made, these ones for my mom.

It’s time for the kitty cat roller coaster!

Now that gift-giving season has come and gone, I can share a few of the homemade things I made for people. These knitted socks I gave to my dad. It’s been a fun challenge to work out these more complicated patterns. Lots of trial and error, but I’m really happy with how they came out.

This joke is so dumb. I love it.

This is a real conversation I had recently with a little kid.
I honestly didn’t know how to answer, but ultimately decided to tell the truth. Guess it all turned out ok!
(Side note: Parents, be careful about letting your kids talk to me)

Our live album time capsule is now streaming everywhere!

I honestly never thought we'd ever release a live album. I've never been drawn to them as a consumer, and I always wanted to keep a PV show firmly in the present. A live album seemed frivolous, and also, who would care?

But then we did our 1000th show, and listening back, there was a lot to love about that night.

We had a five piece band that night (piano, painting, drums, bass, guitar) and it gives a unique flavor to many songs from throughout our various albums. To me, I was surprised at how much "fun" it sounds like we're having. Maybe no one else senses that, but it comes through for me in a way that brings a smile to my face.

There are also a lot of bum notes, pitchy vocals, and flubs of all kind, which don't really make a mark when at a show but shine through in a recording. They're kinda embarrassing slightly, but I guess that's all part of a live album experience.

So enjoy this piece of PV history in all it's flaws and victories! Banter, stories, and the silly merch pitch included. Hope you find something to love in it.

I slept in my own bed last night. The peace of mind that comes from knowing I belong in a space is everything.

What? WHAT?!
Spotted this rat while being shown around Park City, UT yesterday! Our friend works at where Banksy’s film was show during Sundance one year, and he did a handful of pieces around town. Sadly a lot of them were painted over, but the theatre saved this rat on their stage door.
So much fun to see this in the wild!
