Cultivated on the Gordonton estate in New Zealand, this tea owes its exceptional quality to the pioneering efforts of Mr. Chen, a Taiwanese immigrant who arrived in the 1990s.

Drawing parallels between New Zealand’s terroir and that of his native Taiwan, the famous origin of Formosa Oolong, Mr. Chen applied traditional Taiwanese techniques to his cultivation methods. These include the meticulous rolling and kneading of the leaves, forming the characteristic cylindrical balls that unfurl beautifully upon brewing.
