At the business meeting held on May 29, new by-laws were approved to increase the number of board positions from 5 to 7. The three new members elected to the board are: Charlie Brand, Kari Laughery Bradley, and Beth Henness Wuellner. A meeting to start planning alumni activities on Sept. 4 will be held on June 8 at 6:00 pm at the high school library.

22/05/2021

REMINDER: We will be holding a business meeting May 29 at 6:00 pm to vote on revised by-laws. The meeting will take place in the high school auditorium and is open to the membership. We will be asking to go from a five person board to a seven person board which will allow for three people to be elected to the board through nominations and votes that evening if approved.

We will be holding our other alumni activities (parade, afternoon tea, banquet, and dance) on September 4 which is the Saturday before Labor Day unless COVID-19 restrictions are put in place.

12/03/2021

Important information from the Osawatomie High School Alumni Association:

It has been decided by the board that we cannot plan to safely hold the normal alumni activities (parade, afternoon tea, banquet, and dance) over Memorial Day weekend.

In accordance to our by-laws, a business meeting will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 6:00 pm at the Osawatomie High School Auditorium and will be open to the membership to accept nominations and vote for the open position on our board. Rita Schlesener, who was our Secretary, has resigned and per our by-laws, the position can only be filled at our annual meeting held on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. A vote will also be taken to approve amendments to our by-laws. We are looking for members to attend our meetings and help plan and be a part of holding our events. If you have interest, please plan to attend. We will be able to social distance in the high school auditorium.

An alternative date to hold alumni activities (parade, afternoon tea, banquet, and dance) on September 4, 2021, the Saturday before Labor Day, is being planned. The activities will be dependent on Covid-19 restrictions in place at that time. We hope you will save the date knowing plans may have to be changed due to the pandemic. We know classes are anxious to get together and our decisions do not affect any plans you choose to make on gatherings of your own.
