Abraham & Daisy Stern
(R.I.P. my babies) Touching Base with Abe and Daisy Do!
It’s sad when a highschool allows bullying and the one that gets in trouble is the autistic child that is getting bullied.Well, it’s happening at Pekin Highschool.
Mygrabddaughter stood up for an autistic student who was feting tater tots, throwing at him by other students, and another student, was recording it on her phone. The student getting hit with the tater tots would just toss them onto the ground and kind of laugh because he didn’t want to act out, he wants to fit in. he got in trouble for throwing his food on the ground so they were sending him to the Dean’s office, and when my granddaughter stood up for him, and told them who was throwing food at him, they did absolutely nothing to the other kids. If you have an autistic child, or any child in school, ask them, just because they’re not saying something doesn’t mean it’s not happening.!
RIP best gramma girl.
thought i’d share with all Miss Daisy’s fans. Daisy has joined Mr.Abraham across rainbow bridge.
Today we said goodbye to the best gramma girl in the world.
Sweet baby girl is now happy and healthy and enjoying her time with Abraham. Rest in Peace baby girl.
she ate her 6 oz fillet almost all gone but didn’t want the rest as a potty treat later. i hope she eats again tomorrow. she actually drank water today. she started going into her Sundowners spiral so papa grabbed her up and snuggled her and had momma run around the house turning every single light on inside and she snapped out of her spiral. Dementia sucks whether human or fur baby.
now it’s snuggle time with her bunny baby.
BTW we contacted the hospice vet today to get things ready since she’s end stage now.
merry christmas from Daisy. tough old gal had a very “ruff” night last night which means we all did but, she’s still with us today and was strong enough to march- wobble- around the kitchen mission matching for food, got to eat a little before throwing it back up.
this girl is so weak with trying to walk after being awake a while and totally pooped out but so stubborn thinking she’s gonna miss something.
we think Mr Abraham is here with her watching over her bc some weird things happening about the house and around her. he always wanted to be near her when we she was sick. i think he’s patiently waiting for her.
asking for prayers for our baby girl. having a really bad day and just asking her to stay with us through the holidays…. atleast christmas.
having a very hard time walking dt her neuro- equilibrium issues and getting really weak and not eating much anymore and not all today, beyond a few bites of cheese that she threw right back up, won’t eat her baby food and rice, having a flair of her gastritis and bloody diarrhea. She’s back on her Flagyl and Pepcid for tx.
But she did squeak her baby at me this morning.
we saw some strange things going on last night, wonder if Aby is here hanging around awaiting to take her home with him. we just want to have her thru Christmas atleast.
for those who dont know Daisy’s story: we adopted her. they found her tied to a parking block and left in the middle of the park in Chicago. She had been beaten, and it looked like she had been burned with ci**rs. She ended up having surgery because they found a dozen stones in her bladder, because she was peeing blood, she had pulp showing in 4 teeth, so she had teeth removed, she didn’t know how to play, we had to teach her how to play, she was scared to death to be touched, and to be held, you can tell she would flinch when you go to reach to her. The vet said they think they made her be a puppy mill breeder. She has since come a long, long way. She loved her brother Abraham and was definitely a big sister to him and protected him. We adopted her after we lost penny , Abraham became severely depressed. She saved Abraham, she saved us after the loss of Penny. She saved us again after the loss of Abraham. So we may have saved her initially, but she is certainly return the favor, and saved us over and over again. she has good days and bad days with her little neurological things going on, and she’s around 17 now. she’s treated for her adrenal issues, her thyroid issues, now her neurological issues, she survived breast cancer, and cancer of her foot, she’s a tough old gal. We know we don’t have much time left with her, but she’s a sweet girl who is spoiled rotten and still has our heart wrapped around her little paw.
little miss Daisy Do.
My gramma girl Daisy looks for her buddy Abraham every day - rather night- since his passing in 2020……
She’s a such a sweet good girl.
