Summer 2023 Play Therapy : Snippets in Time. Nevin White, Guidance Counsellor from Portmore Prep school snd Sharon Pryce, demonstrated social stories using puppetry, about "Visting the hospital", "Bullying", and "Changing Schools" for children with Autism.

Activities took place at the new ICCF pop-up PMI Play therapy centre in the Cross Roads area, where they were able to engage and relax with play therapy trainee Zinette Walcott- Malcolm,
and ICCF director Dr. Crawford- Brown.The activity was the termination of the final phase of a 2 year play therapy training for 6 graduate students who have been undergoing a rigorous structured training accreditation programme in Play Therapy, since 2019, with the Institute. This training is being done by ICCF in collaboration with Chesapeake Beach Professional Play therapy institute based in Maryland USA.
Face-to face counselling was an important aspect of the play-therapy interventions used. Art and puppetry were used in after-school programmes for children with emotional and behavioural problems in inner-city communities in Jamaica.

The Institute for Caribbean Children and Families welcomes the new Cohort for 2020 who started in November 2019. They did their foundations of play therapy module, as well as how to set up a play therapy room.
