The lads and I are over the moon to be able to share this video of our now completed, ground up restoration of our early, original & running Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer tank destroyer. Fully equipped with it’s original firing 7.5cm Pak 39 L/48 gun (for display purposes only of course!)
As you may know from some of our previous videos, this vehicle has a fascinating and important history-
This particular Hetzer is one of the very first ten produced at the Skoda works factory in Pilsen, Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic) in wartime July 1944.
Safe to say I should of been wearing war defenders for this one! 💥💥💥
Cheers from the team at Axis Track Services

Have you listened to the latest episode of Amazing War Stories yet? This one features our friends from the awesome Maisy Battery in Normandy which really is a must visit once it’s safe to travel and visit places again which will hopefully be very soon. They have some fantastic artillery pieces there that are a definite must see!
On June 6th 1944 a band of US Army Rangers undertook one of World War Two’s most daring missions. Against overwhelming numbers their mission was to silence the huge artillery guns that would target the invading Allied Armies that were about to land on D Day. But we can now reveal a secret about this famous operation that was classified for over 60 years.
This is the true story of 7 of the Rangers who took part in the mission to protect the hundreds of thousands of other troops landing on the Normandy beaches - sadly not all of them would make it through... They were the Cliff Rangers of Calvados.

The Wehrmacht-Einheitskanister, better known as the Jerrycan, is a masterpiece of design, and was copied by every nation. This is an original 1940 dated German issue can. The three handles mean it can be carried either two in one hand or one between two men, and the spring loaded cap is clearly either open or closed, avoiding accidental spillages. It holds 20 litres and can float even if it’s full!

On the cold evening of the 20th of December 1943 over 650 Allied planes took off from their bases in England and headed for Frankfurt on what they hoped would be a decisive blow against N**i Germany. But for one crew in particular this sortie would become a desperate fight for survival from which not all of them would return. This is the remarkable true story of the 7 men assigned to Lancaster bomber MG-A JB652.
