We are a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization devoted to the promotion and preservation of Pennsylvania's musical heritage & cultural history that is all too quickly fading away & being forgotten. We intend on doing this through festivals, dances, and other events. These events will be open to all ages of the general public, with the idea of bringing this important common bond to new folks to enjoy and keep alive for generations to come.
Artvana could take the place of former Mayfair Festival An Allentown Memorial Day Weekend tradition may be back up and running next year.
Unfortunately at this time we are going to have to postpone "Polka Funday", scheduled for November 8th, until sometime in 2016, We will keep you informed as to the 2016 schedule as soon as it is available. If you became a "friend of the Society" in 2015, we are extending them through our 2016 season.
Here's the latest addition to Polka Funday...The Lehigh Valley Happy Boombadears will join us again to entertain us with & educate us about this unique Pennsylvania Dutch instrument.
Okay folks, after some time has passed we are finally ready to start announcing the information for POLKA FUNDAY, Sunday November 8th at AG Hall on the Allentown Fairgrounds. We'll keep you posted but so far acts include Walt Groller, The Polka Quads, & John Stevens. So start making plans on coming out & hearing an array of different styles of Polka like German/Austrian, Slovenian/Croatian, & Polish. More info will be posted SOON!
Don't forget tomorrow Dennis Polisky & Maestro's Men will be at the Evergreen Club for their first Polish Polka Sunday in the beer garden from 2:00PM to 6:00PM.

New Allentown Spring Fest to feature polka Hall of Famer, well-known Valley acoustic duo, more The line up of performers for a new German-style music festival adjacent to Allentown Fairgrounds this weekend will include a Grammy Award-nominated Polka Hall of Fame member, a northeastern Pennsylvania polka favorite, a prominent Lehigh Valley acoustic duo and more, organizers announced.
Members of The Happy Boombadeers of Allentown will put on a special guest performance during one of Alex’s breaks to show us this unique, and mostly forgotten about, Pennsylvania Dutch instrument. In addition, bring your own boombas and “make a racket”, as they say, along with local boomba player, Walt Bauman, who will occasionally join in while Alex and the band are on stage.

Don't forget to see their performance of "Staying Power" tonight & tomorrow at 7:00PM in the WAHS auditorium.
Students of the dance academy have Springfest advance sale tickets available for purchase, a portion of which benefits the dance academy.
This is a great way to get your Springfest tickets & help out one of the artistic youth organizations in the area.

Allentown to host Springfest polka festival this April The Pennsylvania Music Preservation Society is planning the event as part of its efforts to retain the Lehigh Valley's musical heritage.
Beginning Friday March 13th advance sale tickets will be available at the Maingate ticket outlet which is located in the Fairgrounds Hotel at the corner of 17th & Liberty Streets.
Their hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from noon until 8:00PM.
