Why EM: I shadowed in an ER before medical school and was immediately drawn to the dynamic personalities of the staff and to the fast-paced environment

Why EM: I like the diversity of cases and people I get to meet in the ED. I like that it keeps me guessing. I also enjoy being able to do procedures.

Why EM: I love the variety and the unpredictability, there’s never a dull moment in the ED. It’s rewarding and satisfying to be a reason for bringing quick relief to a patient suffering in pain, or reassuring their worries. I’d like to try my best to get our patients the help they need and to bring peace and tranquility to what can sometimes become a chaotic environment.

Why EM: I chose EM because it is where I feel I am challenged to my full potential. I love the fast paced environment and the ability to work as a team. Emergency medicine truly encompasses the essence of medicine in its most urgent and impactful moments. Happy National Nurses Week! We are so thankful for our nurses in our department. From helping our interns learning how to place peripheral IVs from day 1, watching our now seniors grow the past three years, and providing the best care possible to our patients, you rock! Thanks for being the best.
2024 was a big hit! Congrats to all of our residents, APPs, and attendings that submitted! We had 26 poster acceptances, PGY- 2 resident talk, PGY-3 abstract acceptance and talk, and two fantastic talks by our very own .
