Hey everyone! We will be at Christmas on Texas Avenue again this Saturday, December 3rd only from 10am-4pm! We are booth #45 across from the ice rink. Unfortunately, we are unable to do many in person shows anymore due to our work/school schedules so TONS of markdowns will be happening as we are downsizing! Fun Fact Friday! I have a love of fiber arts and our shop was originally called The Nest Knit Hats! We started out making knit hats and head wraps but it’s a hard business to grow when you live in Texas 🙃 I collect cross stitch pieces (Bob’s Burgers, Science things, and Golden Girls quotes are a running theme). Here are a few pieces from my photo wall! I hope to learn the art of cross stitch/embroidery so that I can make some pieces of my own one day 😊 I’ll tag the shops that have Instagram 💜 What are some things that y’all collect? -Casey

Our Story
Welcome to The Nest Knit Hats & Knick Knacks or thenesthtx for short! We are a couple of Texas gals who love making unique, handmade gifts with love! Working with yarn and sea shells is how we started but quickly we found new and exciting mediums that kept our creativity flowing. We make things in our free time and attend local craft shows and fairs while juggling being caregivers to our amazing Mom, college, and our budding careers in medicine and healthcare. The Nest is our creative outlet and we love making items that put a smile on your faces as well as ours. When we first learned the art of knitting hats, it just started out as a hobby for making hats for friends, family, and charity. The more people who saw our hats and other handmade accessories, the more people urged us to start our small business. Being the “broke, college students” that we are, we couldn’t help but ponder if we could turn our hobby into a small, little nest egg. Behold, The Nest Knit Hats and Knick Knacks was born! We hope that you enjoy our little creations as much as we enjoy making them. We love using only quality yarns, especially our fan favorite, bamboo, and would love to make a hat with any colors and combinations that we can just for you and your loved ones.
