I have went through all the posts and scrubbed how many placements in a round you got correct. If you guessed Lisa for position 1 you got 1 point even though the others weren’t in correct order or if you didn’t guess all ten rounds, it was your points you guessed right on. So based off of how many positions you guessed correctly for is how you guys were picked.
We had a 3 way tie for 1st and a 3 way tie for the runners up.
Thank you all for following along and not only supporting Jex and his journey but now I hope you all are a little more excited as his biggest investor, co owner, and jockey will shortly be saddling up together.

Congratulations to FireWaterFrenchFame—or “Apollo” as he commonly known—on being named the 2023 Scoti Flit Bar Rising Star Award recipient! The Rising Star Award, given in memory of Scoti Flit Bar, was created by past NFR qualifier Lana Merrick as a way of recognizing the year-long achievements of a horse that is making its first appearance at the NFR.

Arrived home to a box in my entry way…..🎉🎉🎉
I am not going give up to much info, but I am so excited !!! I am thankful to Molly & Gidget for designing my Back Number ceremony dress, along with all the extras to finish my look!!!! This was such a relief to have TK step to the plate knowing I struggle with fashion 🤣🤷🏼♀️♥️.
God is good!!!
No, we haven’t been going a lot.
This kind of jackpot kind of sums up who I am as a “barrel racer”.
1.) Great church service before the run started!
2.) Small, laid back jackpot with friends.
3.) No cameras (other than cell phones)
4.) Everyone cheering for everyone else!
Fun fact, the last time I ran Apollo in the Hidden Horizons Arena he got 2nd with a 14.0, and that was AFTER I did a “buy back” because our 1st run we tipped & were 2 tenths slower than that 😘
Yesterday, the run videoed by a friend, Apollo broke the arena record. Previous arena record was a 13.6. God knew that I had been doubting myself about having Apollo ready for the NFR.
We live a pretty average, quiet life of working cattle, chasing kids, and chores. With the SD weather, no indoor arena within 100 miles, and trying to get all the cattle worked & situated to be ready to leave, I haven’t felt like I was preparing myself or my horses very adequately. I also try to make sure I put things in God’s order… 1.) Faith 2.) Family 3.) and then everything else.
This run showed me that as long as I keep seeking God & His Will that He will provide what I need!
Another reason I am sharing this is to say this: If you are currently having less than par runs, having to do “buy backs” because you were disappointed with your 1st run, do NOT get discouraged! Do NOT give up!
💥Yup… Apollo still has his quirks when he is ready to run 🤷🏼♀️😂. I tried for a long time to take them out of him, but now I embrace them, smile, and know exactly what each of them means. Love the personality God gave this horse! We are both a little impatient 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️😂
