We here would like to express our prayers out to Jae Crowder and his family. Yesterday he lost his mother, Helen, to a long battle with cancer.
Stay Strong Jae!

I question Kyrie's ability to lead since when Lebron came off the court they would get outscored with Kryie leading the charge and when he had Cavs to himself he wasn't able to lead them then.
Apart from leading I am concerned about his ability to run plays effectively since he's more of a isolation baller.
Upside is that Brad Stevens is a superb coach, and I have faith that he will be able to mold Kyrie to play Celtics type of team first basketball before October.
First, I believe Jae was our most physical front court defender able to shut down the likes or Melo, Lebron and provide physical resistance to most SF, PF and C in the league.
Secondly, IT got away with carrying the ball most of last season helping him to rack up a 29ppg avg and gave us wins.
Third, Danny sent our tallest and possibly lone post player and a possible valuable draft pick to Cavs.
Summary: We sent away the proven defensive player that we had to stop Lebron to play alongside him and gave away our cheeky scorer in IT. Personally I will only consider this a win for the Celtics if IT's hip affects him during the season as it did with us.
of the 15 guys below that helped us to reach the , only 4 are left on the current squad after the Kyrie-IT trade that when down last evening.
What's scary is that Danny Ainge has hinted that the summer still isn't over.
Are the final four safe? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
Congrats to Gerald Green for capturing a well-deserved honor repping the Celtics for teammate with the biggest impact on and off the court. Check out the Award winners for Best Teammate.
Can you count how many of the other EAST team winners were Celtics members?
Just like in 2009, Celtics opening the season on a Tuesday night in Cleveland vs. LeBron. Sorta feels like Big 3 era all over again.
Sadly it's not October yet!
Celtics officially announce signing of . He'll be making $4.3 million in his 1-year deal. Baynes called his free agency choice a basketball decision. Likes the team and opportunity in Boston. He will wear No. 46.
The have signed free agent center Aron Baynes.
Another official signing included this person who might be a bit unfamiliar. This fellow was signed to a one day contract to officially retire as a Celtic. Let me know if you perhaps know his name.
The have officially signed rookie forward Jesusemilore Talodabijesu "Semi" Ojeleye. Whoa, that was a mouthful. He's expected to be a 3 & D type player after standing out during the Summer League.
And to wrap up Celtics news for today, Aron Baynes and the Celtics Reportedly Agree on 1-Year, $4.3 Million Contract.
The Celtics and Pistons are finalizing a trade that will send Avery Bradley and a 2019 second-round pick to Detroit and receive Marcus Morris in the swap.
This move is to allow the Celtics to create cap room necessary to finalize their maximum salary deal with Gordon Hayward as Morris’ $5MM salary for 2017/18 is about $3.8MM lower than Bradley’s $8.8MM.
In light of Brad Steven's claims of no longer having 5 positions, but instead Ball Handler, Wings and Bigs, this is how the Celtics stack up.
And to make this a HAPPY 4th July, Gordon Hayward has agreed to a four year (with player option) $128 Million deal with the Boston Celtics.
There's no need to fear, ANTE ZIZIC is finally here. Ante Zizic is now in Boston and ready to join the Celtics Summer League.
Joining him will be Kansas standout Landen Lucas who signed with the Celtics for the Summer League.
