It’s officially fall, which means time to switch up our makeup! The summer time was all about clean girl makeup, but now we’re moving into more grungy looks for fall .🤎
::
Now we can use:
+ brown or black eyeshadow as liner and smudge it out
+ warm toned blushes like peach, burnt orange, & berry shades
+ warm tone lip colors, or even darker shades like deep cherry
+ darker lip liners to give the lips more contrast
+ lots of brown tones; think of latte/espresso makeup trend

Just a little check in from the founder. UTMS was created out of a lack of representation for the MENA (Middle Eastern North African) community. Growing up as a Lebanese kid in America it was hard to find content creators to relate to. From dating advice to recipes and everything “under the sun”. I hope you find a sense of belonging, entertainment and joy as a member of this community. Thank you all for your support. 🤍🧿✨

I visited Egypt October 2022 and it was the trip of a lifetime. Luckily I had some friends give me great tips on where to go and what to see. My friend Yara (who is Egyptian) gave us the best guide for Cairo. Be sure to save this post for your future travels. A few weeks before my trip I made a new friend Cat which linked me with an incredible tour guide named Mina, you have to book with him. It’ll make arranging everything super easy. He speaks great English and he’s very knowledgeable. I linked his IG below.

Cairo tour guide.
:
1. PYRAMIDS! Of course!
3. MENA HOUSE hotel brunch. They do a whole spread and it's a great view of the pyramids.
5. EGYPTIAN MUSEM- (The new one.)
7. KHAN EL KHALILI- It’s an old school market, very chaotic but really cool.
8. NAGUIB MAHFOUZ- (in khan el Khalili), It’s a cool stop, it's a famous restaurant and good for quick drinks/coffee or ho**ah. They have a full restaurant too, but there’s usually a long wait.
9. ABU TAREK- Is the best for the Egyptian National dish koshari. you can find a million different ones on the road.
10. MANDARIN KOUEDIR- For dessert, and for a cool roof top on the Nile.
11. CRIMSON ROOFTOP - Pretty views and ambiance and Americanized food.
12. EL MENOUF- If you want a full Egyptian meal with all kinds of dishes go to.
13. NILE CRUISE- def try one of these!!! They're super fun and you can get a little boat for just your crew.

Being told we smell good is always the best compliment! And the goal is for our perfume to last as long as possible. Here are some ways to make your perfume stick:

+ spray right after a shower
+ add lotion, oil, and/or vaseline to the pulse points before spraying
+ layer scented products (body wash, lotion, oil, perfume)
+ dab the fragrance on your wrists
(DO NOT rub it in, this breaks the chemicals down faster)
+ mist the fragrance lightly on your hair or on your hairbrush (careful not to spray too much, the alcohols can dry out your hair)

What are some tricks you use to make your scents last longer?

Delicious benefits to eating figs.

Have you heard of the ancient concoction of preparing dried figs in olive oil? Figs alone are extremely nutritious, and great for your body. They’re known for having benefits such as, ▪ digestive health, fertility, heart health, anti cancer properties, promoting skin health and more.

Research has shown that combining figs and olive oil made a protein named metallothionein, potent in promoting metabolism and maintaining overall health. The mixture is said to treat a host of medical conditions like digestion problems, rheumatism, high cholesterol, anemia, asthma, bronchitis, cold, and infertility.

Here’s how to prepare it:

* Place however many dry figs you’d like in a mason jar, and pour enough extra virgin olive oil to cover the figs.
* Leave some space at the top of the jar as the figs will absorb the olive oil over time and will swell.
* Leave the jar in a cool, dark place for 40 days. After that, you can eat a fig a day on an empty stomach. Then Wait for 15 minutes before you have a meal.

Would you give it a try?

Mercury retrograde has officially started, and is taking place in Virgo! This means an impact on work, health, and routines.

You may notice miscommunication, shift in routines & health, delays, missed deadlines, rockiness in professional relationships, brain fog, and overall uncertainty about work & personal projects.

Don’t panic! The best way to handle mercury in retrograde is to embrace it. This is the perfect time for slowing down, reflecting, and lots of self care. Use the energy of Virgo to guide you. Here’s what we recommend:
+ try to be flexible
+ double (or triple) check things
+ pause on making big life decisions
+ hold off on serious conversations
+ reassess your health & daily habits
+ take time to slow down & breathe
+ invest in self care

We got this! 🤍✨
