Our Story
We are a therapeutic company specializing in weighted blankets and lap pads! The company was formed in March of 2018 by Mlee Kingdon.
Mlee grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and had always had symptoms of anxiety and dealt with ADHD. Things became increasingly difficult with a move from a bigger city to a very small town in Manitoba. Mlee suffered greatly with anxiety and found it hard to deal with.
Some time into this battle, Mlee was approached by a friend who asked her to make a weighted blanket for her son with autism. Mlee had been learning how to sew and decided to give it a go. It wasn’t great, but after a few more orders trickled in, she began to recreate the way the blankets were made. Mlee had decided with the double stitched binding and finding the perfect pattern for her customers was the way it would be.
Our company has grown substantially, and we look forward to serving all of our beautiful country and eventually the world, too. Thank you for visiting our page and we wish you luck with our upcoming draws!
