Fate always has a way of weaving people together in unexpected ways. When I first met Heather & Jonah we both had no idea that we lived in the same neighborhood.. on the same street.. and that our daughters would come to be in the same homeroom class at school! It's not very often you get to stay in touch with clients after their wedding is through but I am so happy I get to keep this bond close and that we can celebrate their future milestones together π€

Choosing the perfect venue is one of the most crucial steps in wedding planning. It's where you'll create lasting memories so it's essential to go into each tour prepared with a list of questions to help narrow down the best option that fits your needs! Below is a list of things often forgot about:
π΄ππππ π ππππ: you'll need to know this for both you and your vendors. If you want to do hair & makeup on-site you'll want to negotiate early access to the bridal suite which often comes with an additional charge. You may also have this grand vision of the dΓ©cor you plan to incorporate and your eventual florist/designer may need all-day setup. If the venue only allows a few hours prior to start time, you may end up paying a hefty labor fee for the additional staff needed to complete the dΓ©cor on time.
π
ππ π‘ππππ‘ππππ : aside from the typical confetti, glitter, and open flames which are prohibited at most venues, ask about noise restrictions. This could determine the option of a DJ vs. a live band. Are you allowed to bring in outside food for late night snacks, or a specific type of alcohol that is special to your traditions? Are you allowed to throw rose petals down the aisle or have complete access to the property for photos? It's better to know these things ahead of time rather than halfway through the planning journey.
ππππ‘βππ πΆπππ‘πππππππππ : this one seems obvious but it's easy to forget when you're wrapped up in the excitement of the tour. If the venue has a separate indoor backup space make sure to get it reserved on your contract. Don't forget to look at alternative options for covered spaces outdoors for photos as well.
πππ¦ππππ‘ πππππ : discussing the terms such as deposits, payment schedules, cancellation policies, and guest count/food & beverage minimums will help you budget accordingly and understand your financial commitments throughout the year.
Don't forget to take lots of notes and photos during your tour. It always worth it to ask for a complimentary hold on your date until you have time to make the last of your venue visits and come to a decision!π€

Finding the perfect wedding dress is one of the most exciting and memorable parts of planning your big day. To make sure you find a gown that makes you look and feel incredible, follow these tips:
π΅ππππ πΈππππ¦:
Start shopping at least 6-9 months before your wedding. This allows ample time for shipping, fittings, alterations, and any customizations.
πππ‘ π π΅π’ππππ‘:
Decide on a budget and know your limits before you start shopping to avoid falling in love with a dress thatβs out of your price range. Remember to budget for alterations, accessories, and any additional costs.
πΈπ₯πππππ π·ππππππππ‘ πππβππ’ππ‘π‘ππ :
Step out of your comfort zone and try on various styles, such as A-line, ball gown, sheath, and mermaid, to see what flatters your figure the best. Don't forget to take your venue and theme into consideration as well.
πΉπππ’π ππ πΉππ‘:
Make sure the dress fits comfortably and allows you to move with ease ESPECIALLY while sitting down. Comfort is crucial!

A few trusted people who will offer constructive feedback and share in your excitement is all you need. Too many opinions can be overwhelming.

Understanding the difference between a 'theme' and a 'style' can be a big help during the planning process of your wedding.
A wedding theme is the central idea or concept that drives the overall vision of your celebration. It's often inspired by a specific idea, particular vibe, or interest, like a vintage garden party, classic Hollywood glamour, or a fairytale romance.
Your wedding style focuses on the visual and design elements that define the look of your event. It includes details like your color scheme, the type of decor, and the overall aesthetic, such as modern minimalism or vintage charm.
In essence, the theme provides the inspiration and narrative for your wedding, while the style defines how that vision is expressed visually. Not every wedding needs to have a theme but defining your style will help create a more memorable and personalized experience!
Another trip around the sun, as they say! It's the big 3β’3 for me and I can confirm that with each passing year my dreams do get bigger and the list of goals I set for myself get longer. There will forever be an endless amount of things I'll want to accomplish and I'll always feel unsettled in this industry because of all the opportunities and experiences it offers. I can't wait to share them all with you for the next trip around. Stay tuned and enjoy the ride my friends!

The Most Iconic Wedding Dresses Worn by Famous Brides of All Time Get style inspiration from famous brides who wowed on their wedding days.
There are so many to-doβs when it comes to planning a wedding so itβs nice to share a list of things you can skip every once in a while so you can save some time, money, and sanity!
βͺοΈTraditional Registries- donβt feel obligated to ask for more baking sheets and towels if you donβt need them. Embrace your personalities and offer options that are unique to you like experiences, activities, or hobby related items
βͺοΈBathroom Baskets- your guests do not need an abundance of toiletries; they will bring their own necessities so spend the extra time and money towards something more special
βͺοΈEmergency Bridal Kit- it will probably never leave the bridal suite and your trusted wedding coordinator will always have theirs on hand so it's one less thing you have to worry about
βͺοΈGuest Favors- unless youβre providing something truly unique, itβs an item that will not be missed and itβs just an additional expense for something that most of the time gets left behind
βͺοΈUnnecessary dΓ©cor elements- there is no need to order directional signage, programs, space filling dΓ©cor, etc. Your coordinator and venue manager will direct guests where to go and they will have already read the order of events from your invitations. Additionally, if you have unflattering or empty spaces in your venue you are trying to make better, leave them alone. Insignificant dΓ©cor will only draw more attention to them
