"An important heads-up: A dangerous piece of malware called CoreWarrior is attacking Windows machines, and itâs causing major trouble.
Malware is harmful software designed to sneak into your system and steal information or damage your files. It can get in through phishing emails (those fake emails pretending to be legit), infected downloads, or weaknesses in your security systems.
CoreWarrior is especially scary, because it can quickly make hundreds of copies of itself and spread across your entire system. And it actively tries to avoid being caught by your security tools.
What can you do to keep your business safe from malware like CoreWarrior?
Make sure your security software is up to date, and teach your team how to spot suspicious emails or downloads.

"Microsoft has recently teased some exciting updates to OneDrive for Windows 11, and I think youâre going to love them.
As part of the revamp, Microsoft is focusing on improving things like user experience, file management, and collaboration.
For businesses, one of the best updates will be the integration of OneDrive and Copilot â helping you to do things like create summaries of long documents and compare files (even if theyâre in different formats).
Another nice new feature is the introduction of custom folder colours, so you can organise your files better and spot important folders at a glance.
You can also set expiration dates for shared files and easily find out who has access to them. Great for collaborating on short-term projects.
Some of the new features will only be available to Enterprise and Education customers to start with, but they are a great sign of Microsoftâs commitment to improving OneDrive across the board.
Which one of these features sounds most useful for your business?"

"If youâve ever felt like the scrolling direction on your mouse or touchpad in Windows 11 feels weird, youâre not the only one.
The default setting to move your page up is to scroll up on the mouse wheel (or swipe down on the trackpad). But this feels unnatural to some people.
Did you know that Windows 11 gives you the option to reverse the direction of scrolling, so it feels more natural for you? Like the way scrolling down on your phone or tablet moves the page down.
With the latest Windows 11 update (24H2), Microsoft has made it easier to make this change directly through Settings. Just head to Bluetooth & Devices, go to the Mouse or Touchpad page, and adjust the scrolling direction to what feels right for you.
If youâre using an older version of Windows 11, you might need to dive into the system registry to make this change â and I wouldnât recommend doing that. Instead, just install the update so you can change things like this in a couple of clicks.
Itâs a simple thing to tweak, but it could really improve how you and your team use your Windows devices.
Did you know about this feature already?"

"Anyone else miss Classic Outlook? It was easy, reliable, and it had some great offline features.
Well, today I bring good news: Microsoft is bringing some powerful offline features to the New Outlook for Windows, making it just as reliable as Classic Outlook.
You used to be limited in what you could do with New Outlook without an internet connection. But updates due to roll out soon make it possible to access your emails, calendar events, and contacts without being online.
Another big update, coming early next year, is the ability to choose how many daysâ worth of emails and attachments you want to sync for offline use.
I think these changes are going to be great for business owners â especially for those times when your connection drops or youâre travelling.
What other features would you like to see in New Outlook?"
New offline features on New Outlook for Windows brings it closer to Classic Outlook levels Microsoft is adding another offline feature to the New Outlook for Windows with an email sync feature, thus further improving the offline mode.
"If you've installed the 24H2 update for Windows 11, you may have noticed a mysterious 8.63GB cache appearing on your system that seems impossible to delete.
Donât worry â you havenât really lost this much memory space. Microsoft has confirmed itâs just a Disk Cleanup reporting error, and the cache will have been cleared from your PC already.
Microsoft is working on a fix, but for now, you can rest assured that your system isnât being bogged down by unnecessary files (even if it looks like it is).
The issue comes from a new feature in 24H2 that breaks updates into smaller chunks, which will make system updates easier to manage.
This glitch is harmless, so donât let it put you off updating to the newest version of Windows. Itâs really important to keep your devices secure by keeping them up to date.

"Hereâs a little reminder for you: Windows 10 is officially reaching the end of its lifecycle on the 14th October 2025. Thatâs less than a year away now.
After this date, Windows 10 wonât get any more support or security updates from Microsoft. So, what does this mean for your business?
Itâs time to start thinking about making the switch to Windows 11, if you havenât already done it.
Windows 11 comes with some great improvements, like faster performance, better security, and excellent multitasking features. It looks slicker, too, with a cleaner and more modern interface.
It's completely free to upgrade to Windows 11 â but if your PCs are more than five years old, they might not be able to run it. This means youâd need to look at investing in new computers for your team.
I know⌠you donât always have the budget to buy brand new PCs. But you have options, and my team can help you work through them.
Itâs important to start looking at this now, as while there are some workarounds to get Windows 11 running on older systems, theyâre not a long-term fix.
If you're sticking with Windows 10 for a while longer, Microsoft offers an Extended Security Updates subscription program to keep you covered (though it's a paid option and it doesnât come cheap).
My advice? Start planning your move over to Windows 11 now. This way, you can keep your business secure and running smoothly, without any surprises come next October.
Have you started planning your Windows upgrade yet?"
Windows 10 has a year left to live â but are users prepared to upgrade to Windows 11? Goodbye Windows 10. Hello, Windows 11?

"Microsoftâs been leading the way in AI with its Copilot assistant for a while now.
Itâs already had a big impact on businesses by helping to automate tasks across popular apps like Word, Excel, and Teams.
Now it looks like it could get even smarter â with a feature thatâs like something out of a futuristic movie!
A recent Microsoft patent reveals that the company might be building an update that lets Copilot create live images based on what you say during meetings and presentations.
Imagine talking about a project in Teams and as you speak, Copilot creates real-time visuals that change based on your conversation.
It could make it so much easier to explain complex ideas â and it could make meetings more engaging, especially if people on your team learn better with visual aids.
While this feature hasnât been released yet (and itâs possible that it might never be rolled out), itâs clear that Microsoft is continuing to push the boundaries of how AI can be used to help business owners communicate and collaborate.
However you make use of AI in your business, itâs an exciting time to be using Copilot.
What would you and your team like Copilot to take care of next?"
Latest Microsoft patent shows new Copilot feature that generates live images as you speak Microsoft filed a patent of an AI-powered system that generates images based on live audio. Could this be a new Copilot feature for Teams?
"Spyware is a growing threat, and even companies like Google are raising alarms about the âreal-world harmâ it can cause.
But what exactly is spyware, and how can you protect your business from it?
Simply put, spyware is a type of malicious software that installs itself secretly on your device. It then gathers sensitive information like passwords and bank details â and it could even grab data from your camera and microphone too.
Spyware is sneaky, because itâs easy to end up with but hard to detect. Sometimes, you donât even need to click a link to put yourself at risk.
Spyware like Pegasus and Predator can target anyone, including small businesses. Itâs important to be aware of the risks and take action to safeguard your devices.
Keep your systems updated and make sure you use the latest security software. Donât click suspicious links or download files that you donât 100% trust.
While security software does help, it can't catch everything. Make sure your whole team is aware of the risks, knows how to stay protected, and receives regular security awareness training.
If you notice your device acting strangely or becoming unusually slow, itâs worth taking a closer look. I can help you with this, get in touch."

"Youâve heard of passkeys, right? Theyâre quickly becoming the go-to solution for online security, because theyâre a safer alternative to traditional passwords.
Passkeys use something called cryptography to keep your details secure. This makes them much harder to hack than old-fashioned passwords.
More businesses are using passkeys now â and companies like Apple, Google and Microsoft are already fully onboard. Amazon already has more than 175 million customers using passkeys to secure their accounts.
But itâs always been a hassle to transfer passkeys between different platforms. This is where the FIDO Alliance comes in. The group, which develops passkey technology, is working to make sure you can move your passkeys between different password managers easily.
The FIDO Alliance is introducing two new standards â the Credential Exchange Protocol (CXP) and Credential Exchange Format (CXF) â to make this process smoother and more secure for businesses everywhere.
This is great news, because soon youâll be able to switch password managers without worrying about compromising on security."

"This didnât come as a shock to me, but OpenAI has confirmed that cyber criminals are now using ChatGPT to help create malware and carry out cyber attacks.
Malware is a type of software designed to harm your devices and steal data, track your activity, or disrupt operations. And with AI tools, it could be possible to create sneakier malware that could easily slip past security systems.
Scary stuff, for sure. But the good news is you can protect your business if you know what steps to take.
Investing in strong cyber security tools (such as firewalls and the latest security software) can help. Itâs also a good idea to train your employees regularly on how to spot suspicious emails and links.
Keep a close eye on your systems and look out for any unusual activity. And work together with cyber security experts (like me and my team) to keep your business safe.

"Do you and your team love Microsoftâs Snipping Tool? Well, it just got even better, with its new âCopy as Tableâ feature.
The Snipping Tool has been able to recognise and extract text from screenshots (using its âText Actionsâ feature) for about a year now. But the upcoming version will let you capture data tables from images and paste them straight into Excel.
If youâve ever tried copying table data from images, you know how frustrating it can be. And most third-party tools donât do a great job of it. But the latest version of Snipping Tool handles this task easily.
All you have to do is take a screenshot of the table, click the Copy as Table option under Text Actions, and paste it into Excel. Simple!
Hereâs my pro tip for when the feature rolls out: Make sure you only screenshot the table and not the whole screen. Otherwise, the tool will pick up extra text from the menu bars.
This feature is still in testing but should roll out soon.
Will this make your work a little easier?"
Hands-On: Windows 11 Snipping Tool now lets you extract data table from screenshots Hands-On: Snipping Toolâs Copy as Table feature works like a charm on table images. Ensure that you crop the image before scanning it.
"Have you already installed the latest Windows 11 update (24H2)?
If youâve been having internet issues ever since, you're not the only one. Although the update brings great new features, itâs been causing a bit of a headache for some people.
Some have found that they havenât been able to connect to the internet since installing the update, or that their connection keeps dropping. Sometimes this will be shown by a â169â appearing at the start of your IP address.
Your business depends on you being able to stay online. But if this has been happening to you, donât worry â thereâs a fix you can try right now.
You can roll back the update to the previous version of Windows 11. This has worked for many people and allowed them to get back online.
While Microsoft works on a permanent fix, this temporary solution can keep your business running smoothly. Itâs a simple process - but if youâre unsure, weâd be happy to help.

"Microsoft has patented a new co-browsing technology that could make working together online even easier.
The idea is simple: Itâs like a virtual meeting room for collaborative browsing, where everyone can interact with the same web pages at the same time.
So how does it work?
When you start a co-browsing session and invite your team to join, everyoneâs tabs get synced with each other. This means if one person closes or opens a tab, or they visit a new website, the same thing will happen for everyone else.
Whatâs great about this is that itâs designed to work in secure environments where sensitive information might be shared. This makes it ideal for things like customer support, team projects, and remote meetings.
Although itâs still early days, co-browsing could be a great new tool for businesses.
Is this something youâd use in your business?"

"Youâre using Windows 11 in your business and loving it, right? But if you're anything like me, thereâs one thing from Windows 10 you might be missing â those nice tidy little taskbar icons.
Well, an update rolling out later this year is going to grant that wish for you. Now youâll be able to choose a smaller icon size on the taskbar. Hoorah!
If you and your team like a clean and organised desktop (especially on smaller screens, like your laptops), I think youâll love this update as much as I do.
You can already shrink your taskbar icons in Windows but, at the moment, the taskbar itself stays the same size. Microsoft will be fixing this in a future update. Just one more thing to make your Windows 11 experience even better.

"Ever find yourself hunting around for ages, looking for a file in OneDrive? If so, youâll love the new features Microsoft is bringing in.
First, youâll be able to filter search results by file type (like document, spreadsheet, or presentation), helping you find what you need faster.
Also, youâll now be able to set a date range when you search. So, for instance, if you want to find something you worked on last week, you can set the date in the search bar and quickly find what youâre looking for. Great, right?
Another useful feature is that search results will now show extra details, like where the file is saved (such as in your own folder or a shared one) and who last edited it. This is great if you often work on files together with your team.
These improvements make OneDrive an even more powerful tool for managing files.
Do you use OneDrive in your business? Do you like the sound of these updates?"

"Good news! Microsoft has promised that the Edge browser is about to get a lot faster, thanks to an update coming this December.
The update will improve Edgeâs performance, especially on lower-end machines. The boost in speed comes from Microsoftâs new WebUI 2.0 toolkit, which makes more use of simpler technologies like HTML and CSS, reducing the need for JavaScript.
This means that Edgeâs interface (things like buttons, menus, and settings) will load much faster, improving your experience.
Microsoft has been improving Edge for a while now, upgrading features like Favourites and Browser Essentials, making pages load up to 42% faster overall and even up to 76% faster on lower-end devices.
A faster browser means less time waiting for pages to load and more time getting work done. And with improved security features and lower memory usage, Edge could be a great choice for boosting productivity in your business.
If your team isnât already using Edge, does this update make you want to try it out?"
Microsoft confirms more of Edge is set to get "very fast" pretty soon Microsoft has confirmed it is all set to make more of Edge "very fast" thanks to its in-house WebUI 2.0 framework.
