Team Sheesh
Canine athletes, Jump Addicts, Swim Enthusiasts, Speedsters.
My goal has always been to get my dogs to events in as many states as possible. Current counts: Bishop 18, Goose 13, Mac 3
So California, here we come!

Merry Christmas from the team!
TeamSheesh is pleased to announce we are a MYOS Canine Muscle Formula Ambassador.
As we learned from our experience with Bishop, dogs often lose muscle mass as they age. On the recommendation of his Rehab/Sports Medicine Veterinarian, we started adding a daily serving of MYOS to support his muscle health, and to help him regain his lost muscle mass. MYOS Canine Muscle Formula has one ingredient. Here is some information from their website:
Fortetropin® is a revolutionary ingredient made through a patented process that maintains the powerful and vital nutrients of Fertilized Egg Yolk. These unique egg yolks are all-natural and have complex molecules that have been clinically proven to increase muscle size and reduce the rate of muscle of atrophy due to aging, injury or surgery.

Merry Christmas from the Team!
TeamSheesh added a new member in November. He's going to be a Team Cheerleader for awhile until he's grown, but he's excited to be part of the pack.
As more qualifiers begin for our fellow dockdoggers, club teammates and friends, Bishop, Goose and I wish you much luck, big jumps, fast swims and the making of wonderful memories! We miss you all so much, and we are cheering for you!
For over a year, I've watched Bishop walk and noticed an occasional hop in his back right leg. Last year, his dock scores were all over the place....it seemed that I didn't know which Bishop would show up. His first (and only competition) this year was rough....low big air scores, double miss at starting height in EV, good SR, and took 3rd in Dueling.
I took him back to the rehab vet I worked with last fall, and after a full workup including xrays, I got an unexpected diagnosis. Bishop has severe arthritis in his hips. He is currently receiving Adequan injections, he's taking Galliprant, upped his Glycoflex and some other joint support supplements from my Seattle vet. He is also going 2x a week for laser treatments. At this point, he does not cry, or show any type of pain or weakness in his legs. He is still swimming and enjoying our lake. He is still walking 2+ miles with me everyday. We have an appointment with an orthopedic vet and are on a waiting list for a consult at Ohio State.
Although Bishop has been a really cool Iron Dog, and EV competitor, he is officially retired from those 2 disciplines. I'm going to let him compete in Big Air and Speed Retrieve one more time before I make a decision about retiring him completely.
I have wrestled with my thoughts, shed many tears and I have prayed for guidance. Before he was a dockdog, he was just my dog, and he's my best friend. I want him to be as healthy and fit as possible for as long as possible. If you have an extra prayer, please say one for us.
Thank you to Kevin Johnson (KJPhotography) for capturing this moment at our last competition.
TeamSheesh and Team Chocolate Gousse participated in a Virtual 5K for animal shelters last week. The boys are proudly displaying their medals.
"Rescue dogs aren't broken, they have simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human, we would call them wise. They would be the ones with the tales to tell and the stories to write, the ones who were dealt a bad hand and responded with courage. Don't pity a rescue dog, adopt one....And be proud to have their greatness by your side." -Author Unknown
