I sometimes use gemstones, shells, and agates in my work to help bring the outdoor elements in. When you open your eyes to the beauty of the natural world the subject matter for artistic expression is limitless. The challenge is to capture the essence of that beauty. I feel glass, with the extensive range of colors and textures available, is a natural choice for such an expression.
