Think about it: Green Day didn’t become legends with a musical career spanning over 30 years by pleasing everyone—they did it by connecting with their true fans, the ones who "get" them...the ones who can sing every lyric to every song on every album.

Not too long ago, Chelsea and I were waiting for a 311 concert to start when it started pouring rain. The venue was outdoors, uncovered and in an open field. Instead of freaking out and worrying about how soggy of an experience it was about to turn into...we ordered a drink and waited for the rain to subside.

I wasn't so lucky a few weeks prior. (SWIPE to see proof lol)

My friend Karen and I got caught in a monsoon at a New Kids on The Block concert. A thunderstorm delay later and hours spent sitting in the rain to see our junior high crushes perform "Step by Step"...we were absolutely drenched.

I am 💯 convinced that our life experiences are about 10% about the experience itself and 90% about who we have beside us during the experience. The company we keep can make a questionable experience or a tough situation miserable..or they can help us sit in the rain and still find enjoyment.

Sometimes I forgot how long we've been kickin' it together ❤️ Chelsea's about 2 in this photo and I'm about 17. Never in my wildest dreams would I have fathomed that we'd end up going to the same college, studying the same subject, working in the same industry and ultimately end up working together.

The funniest thing is that the 17 year old girl in that photo worried so much about how and if her and her little sister would ever have anything in common - after all, 15 years is a big bridge to gap!

I'm proud of everything we've accomplished career wise and what we continue to build every day at The Seasoned Marketer...
