Stilwell Kiwanis Club and Stilwell High School Key Club members entertained Stillwell Nursing Home residents today with Christmas carols. Each resident also received a bag of fruit.
The 12 Days of Christmas program on December 20 will be Christmas Caroling in Costume and holiday treats presented by the Stilwell High School Drama Club. Join us at Fletcher Park in Stilwell beginning at 5:30 pm.
The 12 Days of Christmas program for Tuesday, December 19 will be "Letters to Santa and Reindeer Crafting" sponsored by Carson Community Bank.
The 12 days Of Christmas program to be sponsored by the Adair County Boys and Girls Club has been canceled tonight due to rain. The next program will be tomorrow night, December 17, sponsored by the Stilwell Library.
Area youth (and the young at heart) enjoyed the snow globe and Santa on Day two of the 12 Days of Christmas at Fletcher Park in Stilwell. Join us again tomorrow night when the program is sponsored by Help in Crisis. The weather is perfect, a little crisp but not cold. See you at the Christmas tree!

Stilwell Kiwanis Club gave $3,600 back to the community today with funds earned at this year's Strawberry Festival. Adair County 4-H received $2,000, Indian Capital Technology Center Nursing received $1,000, and Stilwell Fraternal Order of Police received $600 for their Shop With a Cop program. All of these funds are earmarked for service programs sponsored by these organizations.
Stilwell Kiwanis is handing out 600 books, 150 coloring books and Halloween treats to youth participating in Trunkoween as part of the Kiwanis Read to Succeed program. Assisting with the giveaway are past Texas-Oklahoma Kiwanis President Ralph Keen and Past First Lady Teresa Keen. Others helping are 2023 Strawberry Queen Adrian Gaches, 2023 2nd Runner Up Kylee Laginess, and 2022-23 Sophomore of the Year Tony Davidson

Sophie Duch, 16 year old trick rider from Stilwell, had performances at 40 rodeos this year and will be featured at Rooster Days in Broken Arrow in 2024. She was the guest speaker at the Kiwanis meeting this week.
Don't forget to mark your calendars for the Stilwell Chamber of Commerce Trunkoween beginning at 4:30 on October 31. Stilwell Kiwanis will be giving away 600 children's books and 150 coloring books.

Join the Stilwell Chamber of Commerce and Stilwell Kiwanis as we celebrate 2023 Fourth of July! Live Music from the Kiwanis Stage will begin at 6 pm and free watermelon and other activities will be alternating with the music until the Kiwanis fireworks show begins at dusk.

The carnival is open and they are selling armbands and taking care of vouchers and armbands from last night.

Due to the thunderstorm and early shutdown of the carnival rides,
carnival attendees who brought wristbands back to the ticket booth tonight received vouchers for any other night.
Those who didn't get a voucher can leave their armbands on and use them another night. If you have removed your armband you can use it for another night but it must be the complete armband, not just a piece.

The Adair County Imagination Library, sponsored by Dolly Parton, provides a free book a month to children 5 and under. This year, Dolly has donated to the Imagination Library a signed copy of her book, "Coat of Many Colors." The Imagination Library is selling tickets for a drawing that will be held at the end of the Festival on Saturday. The winner will receive the collecter's item book. Tickets are $2 each and may be purchased at Carson Community Bank in Stilwell and Westville and during the festival at their booth in the non-profit section on 3rd Street. You do not have to be present to win.

For the first time the Stilwell Strawberry Festival will feature three vehicle shows. The car/truck show and the motorcycle show will be located at its traditional location at First and Division Streets and the First Annual Strawberry Jam and Truck show will be featured at the old Harps grocery store on the west side of Second Street.

Reminder -- Stilwell's Got Talent applications are being accepted now through April 28! There is a schedule change for the winning performances. In addition to the cash prizes, First, Second and Third place winners in the Junior Division will perform on the Kiwanis Stage at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13. First, Second and Third place winners in the Senior Division will perform on the Kiwanis Stage at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13. Get your applications in, $1,700 in prize money will be awarded, sponsored by Stilwell Memorial Hospital!
It's almost berry time! It's expected that we will have ripe berries within the next couple of weeks.
Our Strawberry Queen and her court were guests at the weekly Kiwanis Club meeting today along with our amazing first responders who help us make the Strawberry Festival the outstanding event that it is. Receiving their scholarship certificates were Abigail Beller, 1st runner up who received $750, Adrian Gaches, Strawberry Queen who received $1000, and Kylee Laginess, 2nd runner up,, who received $500. Kiwanis President Krista Baird Bradley presented the awards. Watch for our queen and court on Festival Day, May 13!
Mandy Kiddy was the 2023 Winner of the People's Choice award and the Miss Congeniality award at the Strawberry Queen Pageant on Saturday night. 2022 Strawberry Queen Kelsey Berry presented the awards. The People's Choice award was voted by the general public and Miss Congeniality was voted by the contestants.

The Strawberry Queen Pageant begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, at the Fine Arts building at Stilwell High School. Doors open to the public at 5 p.m. The theme, "See the Good, Be the Good," is in honor of Dolly Parton, Admission is $10 for reserved seating, $7 for general admission and $5 for children age 5 and under. Reserved seating is sold at the door, first come, first served after the contestants and reigning queen have purchased what they need.
Voting for the Peoples Choice award is going on now until the close of intermission on Saturday night. The Peoples Choice voting is $1 per vote and can be purchased in increments of $10. For instructions and a short biography of each candidate go to
