My Story:

As some of you know, I love Norwex. A lot. And this month, I made what was probably a pretty inevitable decision - to become a Norwex Independent Sales Consultant. This is a big deal for me because I'm really not a sales person at heart, but I thought this photo was the perfect way to show everyone why I made this decision. These are all of the products I ALREADY own by Norwex! And I use them regularly. My 3 main goals in getting involved with this brand are to save money on the products I obviously love, to share them with my friends and family, and to make a little bit of extra money doing it.

For anyone who isn't already familiar with Norwex, it's a company who makes environmentally friendly, super effective, and safe household products (various cleaning supplies and other items for your home). I don't like cleaning (and those of you who know me, know that to be very true), but I do like anything that gets the job done faster and easier. These products make me feel good to use because they promote reuse, they don't use hundreds of harsh mystery chemicals, and they're safe for anyone who's in my home - from the two legged to the four legged and beyond.

The best way to get introduced to the products is to host a party! The host rewards are really generous, and I even come to your house and clean a bunch of stuff! For those of you who are interested, but aren't located in Kamloops, I do have a website you can buy from. Your order ships directly to you and the shipping prices are fairly reasonable. These are meant to give me a chance to practice my new role as a Consultant, share these amazing products with you, and let people know I'm open for business! The three smaller photos pictured here are shots of some of my favourite products so far. The Enviro Cloth/Polishing Cloth combo makes everything clean and shiny, and I do mean everything! The window demo for these two is insane - seriously. The Mop System makes cleaning the floors an under 5 minutes job, so fast and easy! And the Cleaning Paste goes to work on tough grime like stove tops, hard water stains, and other grungy culprits. And the kicker? They all work using only water 💦 - this includes the disinfecting part too! The only item that isn't pictured here that I couldn't live without is my glasses cleaning scarf! I use it every day because it's clasped to my purse. It's quick, easy, and I don't have to remember to bring it with me.

The Thompson Rivers University (TRU) Sustainability Office is starting a Reusable Cutlery Program this fall to encourage all TRU students and staff/faculty members to ‘kick the habit’… the habit of using single-use/disposable plastic cutlery!

We are asking all TRU community members with used unwanted stainless steel cutlery (forks, knives and soup spoons) to please consider donating them to this program. We are also in contact with local thrift shops about helping with the program.

If you are interested in donating please only 100% stainless steel forks, knives and soup spoons will be used in the program (please don’t include wood, ceramic or plastic handles, or any silver or other types of metal).

If you would like to donate your cutlery, please email Lora Sartori from the TRU Sustainability Office ([email protected]). We can either arrange for a drop off of the cutlery at our office, pick them up from you, or you can drop them in the cardboard box just outside the TRU Security desk in Student Street in Old Main.
