Finding the tight oils and routine will actually help your weighted down greasy hair nightmares. ⁣

I exfoliate and oil my scalp hours before shower on wash day and keep an oil and overnight hydration lotion in my nightstand to be applied right before bed. ⁣

Google any blonde celeb right now. They all have this beautiful buttery blonde.

Not only is this color stunning, it is also far easier to keep up with. ✨

What name should we give this color?

Have you ever shampooed your hair and noticed it wasn't lathering?

Salon grade shampoo's tend to be more concentrated. This means you need less shampoo to get the job done. Your wallet thanks you.

Because your hair is dirty, it may not lather right away.

Your first shampoo will get rid on most oil, dirt and buildup.

Have you ever heard the saying oil and water don't mix? Well it's the same with your hair oils.

After first wash, the shampoo and water from your second wash will dance together giving you the satisfaction you're looking for.

Also try adding water to your shampoo rather than more shampoo and lathering it in your hairs before pitting on scalp.

The questions I get asked most are always about hair growth.

How can I get my hair to grow fuller, longer and faster.

Here are some ways you can encourage your hair to grow:

It all starts with a healthy scalp. Use a hair oil and massage it into your scalp once or twice a week. I usually do this on days I'm not going anywhere and know I will be washing my hair. Scalp massage brushes work great and can simulate blood circulation in the scalp. Even if you have oily hair, you can benefit from this.

Make sure you have a water filter on your shower head. Heard water and minerals in water can be harsh, causing buildup, dryness and breakage. Hard water can also cause a build up of calcium on your scalp. This can cause hair loss. Again unhealthy scalp = unhealthy hair.

DON'T USE DRUG STORE PRODUCTS! Many of the ingredients are not good for your hair. I know this may be a hard pill to swallow but it's as simple as that.

Stay away from heat and If you feel like you can't do that make sure you use a heat protectant EVERY TIME HEAT IS APPLIED TO YOUR HAIR. Even if your aren't using hot tools on your hair, a heat protectant can protect your hair from other damaging things like the sun.

Introduce a hair masque into your routine once or twice a week.

And finally, simply be find to your hair. Stay away from anything that creates tension in your hair. Use a wet brush and try to brush when hair is dry.

Hair Transformation

✔ Root Color- I choose a deep rich chocolate brown to give some light reflection to the color. This insures color never feels flat or lifeless.

✔ Lowlights- Placed to add dimension and create a more natural look. This will also allow for a moire seamless grow out.

✔ Toner- Toned the existing blonde to a soft beige blonde. The perfect neutral shade.

As a mom to three (Lyla 9, Archer and Landon 2.5) I know how crazy life can get! Believe me when I tell you I'm down in the trenches with you.

It's important to me that Re.New Hair and Beauty Lounge be a safe haven. For my guest as well as myself. We all need a place to press pause and fuel up.

With all of this being said, change is often hard and going to a new stylist can be intimidating. Let me take the first step and introduce myself:

✨If the kids are asleep and the house is quiet, you can usually find me snuggled up with a book. My favorite book is The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon. It's a little spooky but she's a great story teller.

✨Fall is by far my favorite season. The weather, the food, the smells... I love it all.

✨Sushi is one of my favorite foods and I am currently obsessed with Kani Salad. If you haven't tried, you absolutely should.

✨My birthday is January 8th which makes me a Capricorn and it 100% fits my personality.

✨I consider myself a social introvert. I'm pretty sure I just made that up but it's true.
