These dynamic Girl Scouts are part of our Girl Scouts Nation's Capital Girl Advisory Board- working together to shape priorities for Girl Scouting in our region! This month they tackled the mental health needs of our youth members and trained for the Council’s Belonging Brigade. Members of the Belonging Brigade are facilitating listening sessions around the Council to understand our members' feedback on issues of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

February has been an exciting month! Our Girl Scouts Nation's Capital Women's Advisory Board—a group of influential women leaders in the DMV area—met to discuss how they can use their influence and expertise to empower Girl Scouts in our region. Reflecting on a truly inspiring experience at the Girl Scout Council CEO Conference in Nevada last week. It's an honor to be one of 111 Council CEOs, alongside amazing leaders like Bonnie Barczykowski, CEO of GSUSA, driving the Girl Scout Movement forward.

Every day, I'm grateful for the incredible team of leaders who help drive our council and the Girl Scout Movement forward.

This month, I spent an entire weekend at Camp CEO for the first time as Acting CEO of Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital!

It was inspiring watching our Girl Scouts take their leadership skills to the next level and listening to how they want to change the world.

Thank you to all the mentors who attended, can’t wait to see you next year.

Last week I had the honor of celebrating Jessica McClain, our Council’s CFO, as she was recognized in the 2023 Class of Rising Stars!

Jessica- you are a force of nature, a financial wizard, and all-around superstar. Thank you for your dedication to our Girl Scout Movement.
