What a trip. It’s almost too much to put into words ! This was so much more than just a Jiu Jitsu / Yoga festival. From the people to the food, the ceremonies, Yoga & Jiu Jitsu, this was a special event that I will most definitely hold close to heart.

Thank you for the invitation and for introducing us. Also to the people that made trip extra special .bjj friends for life.

This is something I have thought about doing for a while.

I’m not rich but I have had a healthy relationship with money for a long time now. I understand how the world works, for the most part. Holding your pocket tight or worrying about money will never help you and greed is only a lack of confidence of one’s own ability to create.

I changed a £50 note into five £10 notes and placed them each inside single envelopes along with a note that I had written. I then handed the envelopes out to random people (over a period of weeks) on the street that I liked the look of and that I thought best matched the message I had written.

The messages inside were this;

1. Your place in this world is important, I sense that you give a lot. This is a gift for you. Buy a coffee, eat a slice of cake but spend this on you, with a smile.

2. Buy yourself something you enjoy. Pay it back by doing something nice for someone else. The way we treat others is everything.

3. Little gestures sometimes have the biggest impact. Do something nice for someone in return but spend this on you.

4. I wanted to add a smile to your day. Whether it’s one of many or the first one today, carry it with you for the rest of your day.

5. Because, you’re important too.

You don’t own anything in this world. Not a single damn thing. Even your body is borrowed. Come in with nothing, leave with nothing. The sooner you accept and are at peace with that, the sooner the changes you’re looking for will happen. Be present, live for the moment but only for a brighter tomorrow.

No attachments, nothing owned. Only here to give your best to the world - therefore giving the best to yourself. Keep doing good. Have a strong heart, a stronger head and keep moving, in one direction.

What you put out ALWAYS comes back to you, hardly ever immediately but it does come back. The only currency that the universe understands is intention & energy. Rather than thinking of everything you want in life, try thinking of everything that you’re going to give.

Three day’s learning with back home with my Professor and team

Demian is phenomenal. He has a meticulous approach to Jiu Jitsu that is second to none, covering all angles from beginning to end.

Not only has my Jiu Jitsu improved substantially over these three days but I also feel much more motivated for the next challenge.

Day two of the 2023 Master World Championships was a better day for me to see my good friend and student .mitchell86 perform.

Going in after a strong camp and a lot of hard work it was a great and extremely proud feeling to see him perform and showcase the Jiu Jitsu has passed to us. We have been working extremely hard and Nicky’s work ethic is unmatched. The work has only just begun..
