Meet our youngest volunteer, assisting in carrying a box filled with life-saving medical supplies. It's moments like these, where every helping hand, no matter how small, makes a significant impact.
We're thrilled to share that it’s already becoming a tradition to get essential medical supplies from Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, thanks to their incredible support!
A massive shoutout to Artem Kuybida and Catarina Silva for their invaluable assistance in making this happen. This marks their third delivery to us of laryngeal masks, tubes for intubation, various types of anesthetic support devices which will soon be transported to hospitals in Ukraine, and we couldn't be more grateful!
Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission! 💙💛
Previous Friday for Oksana Lovochkina and Olga Baloga started with the inspiring meeting and question “How I can help you” from Simone Schehtman 🇺🇦🇬🇧https://www.birminghamforukraine.org/
We are incredibly grateful for willing to make an impact in humanitarian answer to the russian aggression, the support you have already provided for Ukrainians and keep on doing.
It’s a pleasure to e meet you and know about your great help.
We will appreciate further collaboration with you in future.
In April, the Ukrainian Medical Charity, together with the Wheatley-Ukraine Coordinating Group (Cyril Newton, Maggie Guy, John Guy and David Harverson), held a photo exhibition and a talk with some of the best people in the world at the Wheatley, Oxford.
The photo exhibition and long talk was dedicated to raising funds for the medical service, whose medics are currently in eastern Ukraine and who desperately need an evacuation vehicle.
In addition to the photo exhibition with real photos, our CEO Oksana Lovochkina presented photo reports from the sites of medical evacuations: "When I talk to my British friends, I often hear Conflict instead of War. That's how the idea of the photo exhibition came about." The coordinators of the fundraising team Tania Hébert and Taisiia Danchyna told our British friends where and in what realities our medics work, how they find the strength to continue saving lives and why they need our help so much.
We do not stop believing in the Victory and continue to talk and show what it is really like to live in war 24/7, for so many years in a row...
And thanks to the incredible support of Wheatley residents (Alisia Klimova, Svitlana Hayduk, Lisa Yevseeva, Halina Pavlenko) and the Ukrainian group coordinated by Oksana Lovochkina, we managed to raise almost £2000 in just one evening!
The goal of £4000 is very close and these funds will go to support medics🤞🏻
We are very grateful for the support and time spent with us 🇺🇦🏴🇬🇧
Special thanks to the incredibly talented designer Eugene (https://www.instagram.com/jake_yemtsov?igsh=MWdodTNvNWM5dmdqMw==) for his support with promotional materials for the Charity.

These are photos of Zolochiv hospital in Ukraine. In March this year the Kharkiv area was hit by Iskander rockets, severely damaging the hospital and many of their ambulances.
We were asked to help volunteer organisations and NGOs working in the area, to aim to re-supply them with medical aid and facilitate the provision of an ambulance for their area.
Recently we have been lucky enough to meet a team who already have experience in supporting Ukraine but wanted to help us with the medical field! Together with Lviv Aid - Supporting Ukraine Lives and as a result of your amazing support so far we are planning to purchase TWO ambulances and support their transfer to Ukraine, one most definitely for Zolochiv hospital. The medical teams are desperate for this support.
Any help you can give us to contribute to transport costs for these vehicles and the purchase of equipment they are requesting, is hugely appreciated... Please also share these photos with your friends on social media, show your support for the exhausted but determined medical teams out there in Ukraine today.
Thank you 🙏🏼

Dear colleagues and friends,
We are pleased to announce that Ukrainian Medical Charity has been awarded a grant from The Florence Nightingale Foundation to develop the nursing direction within our medical community. This grant will enable us to support hundreds of nurses who are members of UMAUK and wish to continue their professional careers in the UK, contributing to nursing and thereby showing appreciation for the opportunity of professional development.
We are sincerely grateful to the Florence Nightingale Foundation, particularly Jeni Caguioa and Gabriella Long, for their support and this opportunity. This grant from Ukrainian Medical Charity will be directed towards supporting projects that facilitate the support, direction, and development of Ukrainian nurses in the UK.
In the near future, we plan to conduct webinars on topics such as obtaining registration with the NMC, understanding the UK healthcare system, English language support with our partners, and other relevant subjects. Additionally, as part of the project, we will reimburse £50 for the OET test to the first 35 nurses who apply to us (these nurses must be members of UMAUK at the time of application), with funds being disbursed upon successful completion of the exam (but no later than within the next 6 months).
The support program and webinar schedule will be posted on the medical community’s pages in the near future.
