WE MADE IT TO ARUBA! 🏝🌊✈

So, to start off, Aruba requires the nasal PCR test completed and result uploaded all within 72 hours of departure. Well in the U.S., especially Florida, that is an impossible task at the moment. Thankfully, the Aruba tourism Department relaxed this tight restriction and now allows for a rapid antibody test to be completed prior to departure, but upon arrival you have to complete the PCR test. So although we took a test before leaving (uploaded the rapid antibody results prior to departure), we were able to board our flight. Also, you are required to pay for COVID-19 health insurance which comes out to about $15 per day per person. This insurance will cover you in the event that you test positive on arrival and have to quarantine for 14 days. It covers hotel costs, Transportation, testing and hospital stays if needed.

When we landed we waited in this long line to get through customs and medical screening. If you have your PCR test in hand you can provide it to them for review at the pool. If not you pay $75 per person to take the nasal and oral swab immediately before you are allowed to leave the airport. We took the test and went to our hotel from the way the results. They are promising within 24 hours although they aim to get it to you within 6 -8 hours. I think we took our test around 4 p.m. I received the results at 3:30 am. So we just enjoyed quarantinr in our hotel for the first day!

Now about this test! 😩 That lady went all the way up and through my nose LOL Jason said he thinks she stayed in there extra long and extra deep because I was being so dramatic before she did it 🤣🤣🤣

ARUBA definitely makes you jump through hoops to visit but it's all worth it. I completely understand their reasons and 100% agree with them.
