“They’re heroes,” Small town comes together to save homes from wildfire 23/03/2024

THANK YOU just isn’t enough to express the gratitude for each and everyone of you who helped out. Whether it was coming out to assist, making a donation, lending supplies, offering shelter or food, etc. This absolutely wouldn’t have been possible without your support. ❤️

“They’re heroes,” Small town comes together to save homes from wildfire “So many people who’ve never had to fight a fire have banded together to help this community,” said Heidi Flynn, a resident of Wardensville.

Continue to keep not only the first responders involved but the families also in your thoughts and prayers.. during this difficult time.

The fallen firefighter from last night’s home explosion in Sterling has been identified as Firefighter Trevor Brown, 45, of the Sterling Volunteer Fire Company. He has been affiliated with the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System since 2016. Please keep Firefighter Brown’s family, friends, and colleagues in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time, and we ask that the family’s privacy be respected.

As a result of last night’s incident, emergency medical services personnel from Loudoun and Fairfax Counties identified 13 patients in addition to the fatally injured Firefighter Brown. This includes 11 first responders and two civilians with varying degree of injuries. Of the injured first responders, four remain hospitalized at local area hospitals. The Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident and additional information will be released as available.

One of the most important jobs you have as a
parent or guardian, is keeping your child safe when they are riding in a vehicle.

Each year, thousands of young children are killed or injured in car crashes. Proper use of car safety seats helps keep children safe. But, because so many different seats are on the market, many parents find this overwhelming.

Help is available! Don’t hesitate to contact your local DMV, Law Enforcement, or Fire Department for information or proper car seat installation.
