There is a raffle now for a great coffee table built by Frank Fagan. It's 48"x24"x20", made from old barnwood with old horseshoes embedded and a resin top. The proceeds will all go to Dano Youth Camp. Buy a ticket ($10 each) from Frank (307)254-0012 or Bre (307)254-0013, or contact them to get some to sell. There are 250 tickets, so $2500 will go to Dano. The drawing will be held when they are all sold.

This comes from the Territorial Riders chapter of B*H, Oregon. Sad to see such a big old tree gone, but you gotta admire people who can cut it out!

Here is a beautiful tree now a log that was up rooted in a storm. Tim and Dan both had to cut it out using more than one tank of fuel. It's south of the Warm Springs River on the PCT. Guessing it's over 200 years old.

Well, the Wyoming spring weather is causing us to cancel the Youth and Packing clinic that was scheduled for this coming Saturday (April 1). Sorry to disappoint those planning to attend, but with the slowly melting snow, the grounds are much too muddy. We'll see if we can reschedule it.

You can let me know and I'll pass on the information. If you're interested (and I'm a bit curious), here's the website:

From RIchard Tryder of BLM:
The Cody BLM did some much needed work with the aid of Montana Conservation Corps (MCC) on Sheep Mountain Trail and Twin Creek Trail. I know the Twin Creek Trail was is pretty rough shape and the switch backs across the river were pretty dangerous. I thought I would share some before and after pictures.

Does anyone know of some people that would be able to pick up and deliver about 8 tons of hay from South Fork to Clark -- probably 2 loads? We'll pay of course. Our usual delivery person has had health issues, and may not be able to pick it up until next weekend. Meanwhile it's stacked in the field with a tarp, but getting wet on the bottom. This has to be hand loaded.

Does anyone need help rescuing horses from flood waters, or themselves for that matter? Hopefully the waters are receding now, but I'd be glad to trailer horses, and Heather and some friends of hers also have trailers available. I just sprayed both pasture and ring with w**d killer, so it will be this coming weekend before I could offer a temp holding area, but others may be able to do so.

Group photo from the fun ride at McCullough Peaks. The wind blew and the sand blasted, but these riders and equines soldiered on.
