Who let me be this blonde in my lifetime? 😂😂 But seriously, this photo makes me kind of emotional.

This was taken back in 2018 near the beginning of LHNBEAUTY. A baby makeup artist scared sh*tless not knowing where life would take her but dove head first into the unknown.

If I could rewind time, I would tell her to take that leap sooner. Trust in yourself that you'll succeed and that you do not need to do it perfect the first time. Perfection will never come because you'll always be growing and learning.

Taking time off as a business owner and setting boundaries when you work in a “hustle culture” industry is so hard. While I’ve had some years of practice, it will always be something I struggle with but I know it’s important for me to step away during this new precious chapter of my life. I can only hope and pray that the transition will be smooth but sometimes it doesn’t happen that way. So I’m giving myself a lot of grace and time and I truly appreciate all of our clients for understanding that.

While my full maternity leave will be June 7 to August 12, my goal is to completely disconnect from work June 7 - June 21 in order to recover and bond with our new baby girl. I will occasionally be checking my emails after that (key word occasionally)!!

My assistant Sophia will still be working her normal part time hours - so she will be available for any questions and inquiries while I’m gone and will let me know of anything that urgently needs my attention.

Thank you all for the love and kindness! I’m so excited to meet this baby girl of ours and to finally be a family of 4 (Eric, myself, fur baby Cleo + tiny human to come)!

Interrupting the feed to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my number 1 supporter!!

A lot of brides ask me if I kept it together for my own wedding day and the answer is no lol. I pretty much cried all morning until after the ceremony 😂 (all happy tears of course as you can see!)

I have big dreams and big goals and I'm enterally grateful for someone that allows me to be the dream chaser in the relationship ♥️

For smooth, frizz-free beautiful hair try implementing an oil to your hair routine every day. Frizz is typically caused by the lack of moisture in your hair. By adding a hair oil to your routine starting from mid to the ends, it'll help seal in the moisture your hair strands need!

I find it really difficult to be a creative business owner sometimes. We all have this brain that is overflowing with amazing ideas all the time on top of having some degree of ADHD. Don't you agree??!!

What's been really helping me in my business is implementing focus days. Every day of the week, I have a focus task of the day. For example, today is Tuesday so my focus day is content creation. I focus on creating as much content as I can and if I need a break -I take a break for like 20 minutes. I get up and move around, I work on emails, or get a snack -something to give my brain a breather.

Do yourself a favor and hire a planner or at least a day of coordinator. Every bride that DID NOT hire a planner or day of coordinator absolutely regretted their decision.

One of my biggest fears is that I'm going to age out of the beauty industry - as silly as it sounds! The reality is that I'm getting older and the brides are getting younger. AND WORST CASE is that someone will come into my studio and look at me and say "YOU'RE gonna do my makeup? You're like 70 years old" 😂 I know extreme but I'm truly worried for it.

I'm not sure what I can do to prevent the inevitable but I hope to serve as many women as I can for as long as I can.

Am I crazy?
Does anyone else have this fear of aging out of their industry?

No matter how big your bridal party, make sure to remember that hair and makeup TAKES TIME when creating your timeline for your wedding day.

A good rule of thumb is hair / makeup can take anywhere from 30 - 45 minutes per person. And you want to finish anywhere from 2-3 hours before the ceremony!
