More shots from 10th anniversary. The lighting fought me a bit, but I think I still got a few things that worked out.

And that’s it for my 2022 event photos. It was nice to be able to get back into the stage photography a bit. Even if it is still case-by-case.

I shot the 10th anniversary of The Fictionals Comedy Co. Improv Against Humanity, which was fun as always.

Near the end of summer I shot ’s action-packed play “The Five Vengeances”.

The pride event is always incredible... and comes a week after VFW’s multi-day event so I always have a major back log, so it can take a month or two to get those shots out.

Mid-summer I shot “That Show Made Me Gay” pride spectacular.

And I did the wandering photographer thing, shooting many of the amazing people and their fantastic outfits at the .

As I mentioned, I got back into shooting a few select events/shows last year (while staying masked up), but I was also really bad at keeping my social media up to date (I blame the continual soul-sucking pandemic eating my energy), so let’s do a retrospective.

Starting with shots from the premiere of “Kill the Ripper”, written by and performed by .

And that was 2022…

In terms of photography, while I didn’t shoot as many sets as I have in previous years, I’ve been ending up with more usable material per set, so I’m getting close to my 2018 output for number of photos (the ongoing pandemic has done a real number on my energy levels).

One of the more interesting setups and I put together was a studio space with a black background and reflective flooring. We’ve only released a few holiday-themed photos from that so far, but the results are amazing and look especially good for shots like this one where you want to highlight a product (or particular aspect of a person)… and they are a ridiculous amount of work to edit in my normal volumes. I’ve had no energy for social media for the past few months because I was grinding away at those since mid-October.

I did make it out to shoot a few select events this year, while staying as safe and masked as I could. And, in turn, I completely failed to post almost anything about them here. That said, I spent the holiday break getting my Flickr account up-to-date, so all of them can be found there, and be ready for some event photo spam this coming week.

Here’s to the new year, and hopefully new shiny shoots with people new and old.
