Greetings to all of those who have "liked" our page. Our chapter is struggling to reinvigorate itself coming out of the COVID disaster. We are in need of volunteers to support our grass-roots mission to advocate for airpower, STEM Education, and the welfare of airmen. If interested in participating, please message us at your earliest opportunity.
Are you interested in recognizing outstanding STEM educators in our local school systems with an AFA "Teacher of the Year" award?
What about helping to provide a $500 Pitsenbarger Award, a grant to a young enlisted member who has recently graduated from the Community College of the Air Force to help them further their education?
Maybe you would like to help share the importance of aerospace power with community and elected leaders?
Want to support deployed airmen with cards, letters, or "CARE" packages while they are away from home supporting the mission?
Each of these activities are things that our chapter can do, but we need your help to make them happen. Please send an email to [email protected] or call me on 717-847-4604 to be part of our chapter's effort to bring the AFA to Southcentral PA!
To all of you that have "Liked" our page, THANK YOU!!
With that said, we have much to do at the local level in support of the Air Force and Space Force mission and we need your help.
Please become part of that effort and contact me at [email protected] or on 717-847-4604.
Our AFA chapter needs your time, and talents.
Our mission is multi-faceted: 1) advocate for air and space power; 2) support STEM education: and 3) support airmen.
As we read headlines about China's modernization out-pacing ours we, at the local level, must reach out to both community leaders and our elected officials to help them understand the implications of losing dominance of the skies and space and encourage advocacy for both.
As we begin to emerge from under the cloud that is COVID-19, our chapter will reengage with our communities to do the work of the AFA. Any member wishing to support our efforts should contact Ed Hurston at [email protected].
