At the young age of five, I developed a love and passion for fashion. I would admire how my mom could take a simple cut of fabric and make it into these intricate garments for my sister and I. As I matured into womanhood, so did my love of shopping. As much as my mom tried to pass on her skill of sewing, I had no patience to learn that skill. The joy of walking into a store and purchasing a 'ready-made' item brought me so much joy. As a Muslim woman, I could not find modest clothing that did not require layering or shopping at several stores before finally putting one full outfit together. As a result, Minmirry, was born. We are a specialty boutique that provides a 'one-stop shop' option for plus-size Muslim women in the US and Canada.
