Female Infertility: Causes, Treatment And Prevention
What causes female infertility?
The most common causes of female infertility include problems with ovulation , damage to fallopian tubes or uterus, or problems with the cervix. Age can contribute to infertility because as a woman ages, her fertility naturally tends to decrease.
Ovulation problems may be caused by one or more of the following:
A hormone imbalance
A tumor or cyst
Eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia
Alcohol or drug use
Thyroid gland problems
Excess weight
Stress
Intense exercise that causes a significant loss of body fat
Extremely brief menstrual cycles
Damage to the fallopian tubes or uterus can be caused by one or more of the following:
Pelvic inflammatory disease
A previous infection
Polyps in the uterus
Endometriosis or fibroids
Scar tissue or adhesions
Chronic medical illness
A previous ectopic (tubal) pregnancy
A birth defect
DES syndrome (The medication DES, given to women to prevent miscarriage or premature birth can result in fertility problems for their children.)
Abnormal cervical mucus can also cause infertility. Abnormal cervical mucus can prevent the s***m from reaching the egg or make it more difficult for the s***m to pe*****te the egg.
How is female infertility diagnosed?
Potential female infertility is assessed as part of a thorough physical exam. The exam will include a medical history regarding potential factors that could contribute to infertility.
Healthcare providers may use one or more of the following tests/exams to evaluate fertility:
A urine or blood test to check for infections or a hormone problem, including thyroid function
Pelvic exam and breast exam
A sample of cervical mucus and tissue to determine if ovulation is occurring
Laparoscope inserted into the abdomen to view the condition of organs and to look for blockage, adhesions or scar tissue.
HSG, which is an x-ray used in conjunction with a colored liquid inserted into the fallopian tubes making it easier for the technician to check for blockage.
Hysteroscopy uses a tiny telescope with a fiber light to look for uterine abnormalities.
Ultrasound to look at the uterus and ovaries. May be done va**nally or abdominally.
Sonohystogram combines an ultrasound and saline injected into the uterus to look for abnormalities or problems.
Tracking your ovulation through fertility awareness will also help your healthcare provider assess your fertility status .
How is female infertility treated?
Female infertility is most often treated by one or more of the following methods:
Taking hormones to address a hormone imbalance, endometriosis, or a short menstrual cycle
Taking medications to stimulate ovulation
Using supplements to enhance fertility – shop supplements
Taking antibiotics to remove an infection
Having minor surgery to remove blockage or scar tissues from the fallopian tubes, uterus, or pelvic area.
Can female infertility be prevented?
There is usually nothing that can be done to prevent female infertility caused by genetic problems or illness.
However, there are several things that women can do to decrease the possibility of infertility:
Take steps to prevent sexually transmitted diseases
Avoid illicit drugs
Avoid heavy or frequent alcohol use
Adopt good personal hygiene and health practices
Have annual check ups with your GYN once you are sexually active
When should I contact my healthcare provider?
It is important to contact your healthcare provider if you experience any of the following symptoms:
Abnormal bleeding
Abdominal pain
Fever
Unusual discharge
Pain or discomfort during in*******se
Soreness or itching in the va**nal area

WHERE ARE FIBROIDS IN MY UTERUS?
The uterus is composed of the cervix – the lower portion – and the fundus – the upper portion. The uterus is attached to the va**na through supporting ligaments, which are strong bands of tissue. These are the cardinal and uterosacral ligaments. These ligaments are attached to the va**na, not the cervix.
The cervix is the opening of the womb, and functions to allow delivery of the baby. During delivery, the cervix “dilates” and allows the baby to be delivered through the va**na. The cervix has no other role. The cervix does not have a “support” function, and does NOT support the uterus, bladder, or re**um and prevent them from falling out of the va**na. This is because the cervix does not directly attach to the supporting ligaments of the va**na, the cardinal and uterosacral ligaments. These ligaments are attached to the va**na. The tubes and ovaries are attached to the uterus.
The blood supply to the uterus is through the uterine arteries, the ovarian arteries, and the cervical and va**nal arteries. The “serosa” is the outer lining of the uterus, while the “endometrium” is the lining of the cavity of the uterus. The endometrium is also called the submucosal lining. The muscle of the uterus, or the

Cigarette and its effect. Cigarette contained three substances that are very poisonous to the body there rae (1) Ni****ne which is an addictive substance that affect the brain directly and stimulate it and make it active .Ni****ne is also a contain in insecticide used in control of wide spread of vectors and others insects. It is addictive that is if you are used to it ,you will found it very difficult to stay without it that is why smokers found it very difficult to quit from it.(2)Tar ,it is a substance that affect the bronchi of the lungs which can easily cause lungs cancer.(3)Carbon monoxide is a poisonous substance that when mixed with blood reduces the level of oxygen in the blood and increases the concentration of carbon which dinned the supplied of oxygen for metabolic processes in the body . And this have an outstanding effect in the body like abnormal functioning of the cells and it can also cause heart diseases like heart failure due to the mixture of carbon in the veins which transport blood to the heart .And also this carbon monoxide makes a component in the torbunal bone of the nostril(Cilia) that it help in control of direct entering of bacteria into the the longs not to function ,thereby creating a platform for diseases entering the lungs .with this little tuition of mine you are advised to abstain from smoking and also avoid places where smokers are because if a man smokes 20 sticks of cigarette it is likely that the person closed to him made have inhaled almost the smoke compared to one stick. Live ur life simple and avoid to thing that ur body hate. Remember health is wealth thank
Some one asked me a question about a disease called Tumor,Tumor is abnormal growth of cells that serve no purpose in the body,we av basically two main types of Tumor ,1) Benign tumor,Malignant tumor, which is cancer. It does not invade nearby tissues or spread to the parts of the body the way benign tumors. Is very gud bt benign tumors can be serious if they press on vital structures such as blood( vessels )like capillary, veins, and so on or nerves whch transfer impulse .therefore sometime they require treatment and other time they do not. Causes of Benign Tumor are(1)Environmental toxin, such as exposure to radiation.(2)Genetic,(3)Diet,(4)stress,(5)local trauma that is injuries,(6)inflammation or infection. Symptoms are many bt I will briefly give you few(1)Headache,Weakness on one side, seizure, visual problem,Tumor can be treated by surgery,by radiation,or other medication. Tanx
